Hi all

I'm in today and luckily not really felt hungry so far so only about 8 or 9 hours left before my tuna salad followed by fresh blueberries & raspberries with greek yogurt. I'm close to finishing all the granny squares for a blanket for my niece and as I'm not working today I will be fighting the urge to spend all day crocheting. I guess you could say it's useful as it's for someone else, and I will need to wait in this afternoon for our bathroom being delivered so I think I'll be justified in finishing it later...

Have a good day
I'm in today. Had hit 8st 5lbs but after a work week in slovakia and lots of boozy dinners I was back at 8st 9lbs today although hopefully some of that is bloating as feel very full. I would think today will be easy as I am still so full from my MASSIVEA dinner last night. I have to go straight into a second fast tomorrow though and that will be tough.

BTW what is 16:8 that everyone is talking about? I am going on hols to an all inclusive resort for 2weeks- I know I won't do 5:2 but maybe I'll do 16:8 if someone could let me know where I would info on it?
 Good morning from Florida, USA! Fasting today. Have had a great run so far. Not much in weight loss, maybe a pound or 2 in 3 weeks, but it's how I feel and how I am beginning to see eating that is impressing me. Finding that delaying meal #1 of 2 until 11am-12p is working well and very easy! I like the idea of extending the overnight fast, and try to do it even on my fuel days. Also moving toward a 2 meal a day plan every day, for the sake of consistency. Very excited that I have sparked interest and action in 2 friends, as well. Have a lovely day!
I'm fasting today, my second this week. It's a new routine for me - I was fasting at work, but now I'm no longer working (at least not going to an office to work - my husband has me doing stuff for his business at home) so I have to do it from home. So far it hasn't been as hard as I thought - nothing like the kick in the pants of a FOUR POUND GAIN in the last 2 weeks (over my holidays) to motivate one and keep one honest!

I hate calorie counting with a passion. So I usually don't, even on fast days. I just have liquids during the day and a really small dinner, smaller even than my 6 year-old daughter's. My kids know I'm fasting but I think it's better that they see me eating real food, the same food as them.
hello jmousey, there is a thread quite near the top in active threads on 16:8. Do a wee search for it and you will get all the information you could need- and more (ballerina has been involved...!) :D
I'm in today. Having a lazy day at home as I'm working this weekend. Looking forward to my omelette tonight!
Hi everyone!
I'm in today, busy at work so that should make it easier! Good luck to everyone, and congrats to those that are done!
I'm fasting today - in enormous contrast to yesterday when we celebrated my boyfriend's birthday by going out for a 10-course tasting menu lunch. Feast day indeed.

Bank holiday weekend eating had pushed my weight way up and of course yesterday didn't help so it's good to get back to normal now and hope the water weight goes. Good luck everyone!
I'm fasting today, my 4th since starting (didn't fast last week as was in New York)last meal last evening at 7:30, just had my normal black coffee this morning (can't do without this. Will have a small piece of protein with some vegatables for lunch and fish and vegs this evening. Good luck to all who's fasting today! :clover:
I'm in - Leftover chicken and veg tonight with a little bit of quinoa. :clover:
I'm in, too! Brought an apple and a yogurt to work, but I'm thinking I'd like to try and not eat those for lunch if my hunger is under control. I'd like to save those calories for a bigger dinner (and maybe a late-night snack). Many have said that works better for them so I thought I'd might shake things up a little and try something different. Keep the faith, and let's keep on keepin' on.
Hi everyone,

Today is my first fast day and so far so good! Looking to lose about 15lbs that I've put on since being in a relationship (damn takeaways), heard lots of good things about 5.2 so here we are!

Not done so well with restricted cals in the past - always been a bit of an atkins girl but the idea that it's only a day at a time seems very do-able.

Thanks for all the tips and everything, will definitely keep this open on fast days!

Welcome to the forum hotchoc7! :)
I'm kinda in today. That is the plan. Been feeling hungry today and my resolve is low. Had a cup of orange juice at 12.00pm (long story) and now I've eaten 2 nectarines and 1 orange and am toying with the idea of eating another orange. I usually save my calories for one meal in the evening but I cant quite get back into the swing of it since my holiday so I'm planning to start 4:3 next week and scrap the 16:8 to see how I get on. Put on a ton of weight on holiday but have since managed to lose 4lb in my first week back so thats something I guess.
I'm here too! Feeling hungry now so may have to eat something soon. Saving most of my calories for dinner.
