First off, hugs to Judio. What an experience!

Don't know what I'm having for dinner. I have some frozen meals around the 300 Cal mark and I'll just stick my hand in and pull one out. Doesn't really matter what it is. By 6 o'clock I'll eat anything!

Here's something that was posted on another board I frequent. It will help pass the day and make you forget your hunger pangs. It's Nellie Melba singing Willow Song and Ave Maria.

Judio: how appalling! I wouldn't have been able to fast! Thank God it wasn't worse!
Oh Judio how awful :( I do hope he's as OK as he can be and that you are looking after yourself too.

I am in today although I wish I had done yesterday instead as I have just booked last minute tickets to see BEYONCE tonight so it is going to be a very long day. I'm wondering whether to give in and fast tomorrow but tomorrow is Friday..?

Lil
Stay with us LilSmiler! Beyonce will take your mind off fasting :-)

You'll be so glad you did when you wake up tomorrow morning.
So sorry to hear about your sons accident Judio. Best wishes for a full recovery. Lilsmiler, why don't you eat no more till dinner tonight and fast all day to borrow till dinner then eat and drink what you like both nights - would that work?
I don't know.. what do you think? I had a chicken pad Thai and some wine last night so I really wanted to be good today and I hate not completing fasts.
I will probably only want a sandwich or something but I'm guessing it will take me to about 600-700 cals.
Tempting!
Judio what an awful thing to go through, comfort chocolate, wine etc of course. Hope all goes well with his recovery
Well I must rush off the neighbour is cooking something that smells delicious so I'm going to have shut all the windows and keep the smell out
fasting here, after a terribly nibbling day yesterday - must focus and preparing and eating before I get hungry!
I'm glad to hear your son is ok Judio, can only imagine what a scare you would have had. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I'm doing my usual Thursday fast on this (now) sunny day. Dinner will be tuna patties from my daughter's FODMAP book, with a lovely big salad.

Have a lovely day everyone! :clover:
Not fasting today as my sister is up from Melbourne and we just had a delicioso Italian lunch in Haberfield.( Sorry to brag)
But I'll fast tomorrow instead as she leaves in the morning.
I still did my laps this morning- dragged sister along as well.
Have a good day everyone.
PS Judio- so glad your son is sort of Ok and wishing him( and you! ) a full recovery.
Fasting today but the fasting apathy has set in. This morning it was "another fast day *big sigh*. I guess it's because it's not really showing on the scales and the pre-menopause I thought was done with isn't (again). It's a feeling of nothing is ever going to end!
That's no good Lady Muck!
I'm peri menopausal too but the weight is coming off slowly which proves that ladies 'of a certain age' can do it, however long it takes. Have you been mixing it up at all? E.g. 16:8 or what have you?
Hi Debs, I started 16:8 a couple of weeks ago, but no noticeable difference.

The hormones, which had seemed to be settling down (6 months no period), have been hitting me back - 3 periods in less than 2 months and a pizza face with a gazillion spots. My OH 'joked' that 5:2 was making me young again! (I know it's not 5:2 doing it, just crazy despairing hormones. ;) ) Perhaps a final hoorah?
Bloody hormones, I know all about those!!! Feel like a doom laden, angst ridden teenager some days. Maybe soon I can be a teenage weight to go with it?!
Feeling better, thanks Deb. Just turned down a banana. This morning I probably would have taken it!
