Welcome @AllyO, hope your fast goes well. Keep busy, keep drinking and let the huger waves wash over you. They pass. My day is just about done. Chicken in a tomato kind of sauce for dinner. I was desperate and had dinner at 5.30pm. Now I am on a marathon cooking event. We are having a big party this Saturday and I am making 6 loaves of sour dough bread. Just about to bake the first 2 loaves. Starter's about to have it's 3rd feed and I'll make dough for loaves 3 and 4 first thing on Friday morning. Oh, and my first tomato seeds have germinated. I had some in a purpose designed seed raising heated contraption in the shed, and some in a black plastic bag in a sunny window and the sunny window wins. We kept our lovely day and hope for another one tomorrow. Hang in there you people west of here.
Welcome@Allyo and @Dublin
It's ok to change yr days, find what fits in best for you x
Well done those whose fast is done for today x
Lunchtime here, tho no lunch for Candy obvs..
Looking forward to scrambled eggs and salad later..tum feels empty but not in an unpleasant way x first day of yr two for me, so feels like a good start to it x
Congratulations @CandiceMarie. Fabulous Fastiversary!
Woke up all puffy with salt-induced water retention, thanks to some unexpectedly salty sausage in last night's dinner. Up 2+ lbs, which though I know it is salt, is still depressing. It will pass.

Had to reschedule my visit to my son and his new restaurant for the end of the month due to his having to go to a wedding and cater a street festival on the earlier weekends, so no need to do extra fasts now.

So another fast day continues. . . I don't have any more of that delicious ham that made the last two so good, but that's probably just as well given how salty I am right now. Back to the unappealing, rather wooden-tasting supermarket chicken.
...Tried MISO soup for the 1st time yesterday...Ummm not sure what to think of it...but I mostly think Ew! LOL
Just had my dindins...a mere 300 cals plus say 50 cals for a few cuppas with tiny spot of milk
Feel nice n full but nuff cals left for a slice of bread with a scrape of butter later if wanted.
@Dublin no,miso soup doesnt rock my boat either..i sometimes have a slimmasoup for a salty 60 cals tho :like:
First fast day for a long time for me. I was maintaining nicely on low carb and 16:8 and exercise over the school hols however it all went to pot and I am up 4lbs and feeling uncomfortable. Happy with today's fast; nothing except a coffee and redbush tea until 6.30pm then 2 slices of halloumi with oven roasted vegetables. Feel pleasantly full. Now to wash up and look as school work to keep my mind away from food. Good luck to the USA people who still have a way to go :)
I'm in for today. I'm feeling a little discouraged, as hunger has been out of control on non-fast days, my clothes appear to be fitting tighter and I'm not really making any progress on losing those last stubborn 5-10 pounds (thought I was losing about a pound a week, but yesterday I was right back up to where I started three weeks ago. Salt? Hormones?). I'm using this approach because I don't like having to track every bite of what I eat (as I feel like food sort of rules my life when I calorie count), so the thought of getting back to using My Fitness Pal to count to TDEE on non-fast days is depressing.

I'm waiting for the magical day that I don't feel the need to eat everything in sight on my non-fast days. I've read that appetite sometimes stabilizes around 3 weeks in, so maybe this is the week for me!
 Happy Fastiversary @candicemarie, :drink: here's to a great 2nd year with lots of easy fast and feel good factor. Good luck as you continue x
4pm my time....3pm is my WORST time for cravings etc. Just chugged some water and took a walk with the "kids" ~ My fur babies xo
Feeling better after the walk. Nothing but coffee/water/tea for me so far today Ha! No Miso soup today.
Tah CandiceMarie: for the slimming soup & Fasting pattern advice.
Ewoodwor: Don't get discouraged. I can relate to what you wrote. I am new to this so not a huge help in the advice department BUT I can say that you are not alone...not sure if that helps or not...

Looking forward to hubby coming home for dinner. Hummmmmm what to have what to have =)
Two pm my time. 100 cals already consumed. Chicken breast, cauliflower rice and a salad for dinner.
22:55 - and I'm done in from 10 hours of meetings - I had a gazpacho soup and a protein pot for lunch.
To top it all I left my life (handbag) in the office of my last meeting that ended at 9.30pm - house keys, London travel pass, bank card, mobile........... fortunately my neighbour who has house keys was in and I was able to get some lovely angels deliver my handbag life to my home. Phew, talk about stressed - I'm sure this week will continue to knock weight off me, just come off a 10 week plateau yesterday. Only got 1lb to go to goal, so I need to watch out there as I have a demanding two months ahead work wise. Some of us eat when stressed, some of us don't eat when stressed. I'm in the latter category. I can feel my body is burning it up at the moment. I need to balance that .

So, off to bed. Good luck you peeps who are still fasting this good day.
Stress seems to be today's theme. Major issue blew up with some work stuff that had me distracted while making dinner.

I had thought of using up one of some 60 calorie ultra organic/healthy hotdogs I'd bought a while back, but it was only after I'd finished eating that course, with a bunch of other stuff that I realized I'd used the organic/healthy 190 calories hotdogs instead, which were in a very similar package.

So now I'm eating a strange mixture of broccoli slaw and 0% Fage yogurt with a sprinkle of curry powder, which is actually not bad. But I'll be low on protein for the day as the hotdog was only 7 grams and took the place of 4 ounces of chicken I'd plan to also eat.
@Lizbean, my heart goes out to you! That's just the kind of thing that would happen to me when I get super stressed. I ALWAYS lose keys when I get stressed. I think my subconscious is saying : 'you need to stop, girl. Here this will stop you. I'll take away your car keys or work keys!' So, dear Lizbean, can you ease up? Too many meetings!
Quick drop in to say I did fast with all of you today. Just the evening to make it through - hope you all had a great fasting Thursday.
