I'm in today for fast number 6, bit of a hungry day so will keep myself nice and busy until my meal tonight.
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst, whatever length today's fast becomes will be ok.
I can eat it tomorrow.
More water please.

Hi, I'm in too. Struggled first thing as I woke up extremely hungry but have had 1.5 litres of water already and i'm doing ok.

tonight will be a little odd as I'm meeting some old work colleagues for 'tea' so am preparing from the menu what I can have! I don't mind as this has got to work for me long term - I won't be drinking at all as I'm driving so will treat myself to a diet coke. Till then, water all the way :smile:

I'm fasting, No. 8 for me today! had a coffee this morning, will have a piece of protein and veg at lunch then fish with veg this evening, doing ok, have drank 1 lite of water thus far, but getting rumbling of stomach which I'm ignoring! lol... Happy fasting all! :clover:

Not had anything yet ( 10.30ish) except tried a cup of earl grey tea minus milk plus lemon -which i found revolting ..drinking hot water with lemon now
A little bit hungry but yeh it does pass and i feel positive and happy

Hi everyone, this is my 3rd day on 5:2 and my second fast day and it is exceptionally harder than my first fast day, my tummy is rumbling big style and I really could eat a scabby dog but so far i have had countless drinks of water, lemon tea and lady grey tea, tonight i am hving my tea then tomorrow i am going out for tea so that is keeping me going. To all of you fasting today i hope you keep going i need motivated and remind myself why I am doing this lol but when i see my colleagues munching away it hard considering i have had no bread, rolls or anything like that since last week!!!!
I'm fasting. It's no hassle not eating these days. Busy in my B&B, ignoring left over toast today.
We are in again as well.

Been a hectic morning and the afternoon/evening will be busy too.

I am enjoying my morning coffee right now but still have to plan what to eat at dinner. A friend invited me to an event in her house tonight and I am pretty sure there will be treats there :frown:
I was thinking to switch my fast for tomorrow but Fridays are risky so I will stick to it today and not eat anything until I get back from the event (or eat something there depending on the choices)
I hope this will work and if not, there is always tomorrow! :geek:

I don't seem to struggle with hunger at all. Instead, I struggle with the peer pressure. Monday's fast was difficult because of a lunch meeting. Today I'm meeting my mother for lunch. I don't look dramatically different despite my 20lb loss, so no one notices I've lost weight, so I don't like to mention 5:2, which makes it awkward not to eat anything when out with friends!

I'm in and keeping frantically busy!
It is a hot day here in Surrey, so trying to keep cool by drinking lots of water.
Ate my calorie allowance at lunch. Tuna salad. I was in a restaurant and the steak was a very big one (estimate 300g). I'm confused as to how to count the calories as both MFP and T&T have wildly different readings depending on the type of tuna consumed (I have no idea bluefin/yellowfin blah blah). Can anyone help me please?
I'm in, into my 2nd month now. Hormones make we gain hugely at this time of the month, so I'm not weighing myself atm...but I'm starting to see the effects now...my jeans arent feeling as tight :)

@nycnyc2013 People may be noticing, but not thinking it's polite to mention it. Although you may want people to comment, others can get 'funny' if other's suggest that they were overweight to begin with...so some people avoid bringing it up altogether! I'm sure 20lbs will definitely be showing.
I am in, have eaten, and am now distracting myself til bedtime.
