Hey nice to see everyone still going strong. I haven't missed a fast but just haven't been here for a while. I also haven't missed a feast.

Christmas and then my birthday means that despite regular fasting on Mon and Thur, I've been going nowhere fast (excuse the pun). So, as usual, I fasted today but to boost things along a bit, I also did a little run with my new running regime I just made up the other day. Woo hoo! I could've run all day AND I HATE RUNNING.

Anyway, although I have been fasting, it seems that being part of this forum is a vital part of dropping the pounds so I am back again and just entered in all my dailies for the past six weeks or so.
i'm in!
this is my 2nd fast of this week, week 4 of the diet. i've lost 4kgs so far, which i am THRILLED with.

last weekend i went ever so slightly crazy with overeating, but reigned it in again on monday and yesterday. currently saving my calories until a banana around 5pm, then i'll do a 5k run and eat a 400/500cal dinner. i've found eating a little over the 500 cals on a fast day when i'm also running is working out ok. i'm training for a half marathon, so running 5k x 2 per week and a longer run at the weekend.

ramble ramble ramble!

good luck everyone!

Nooo!! Hang in there, @Fat Dormouse! Biscuits, Schmiskits!

Love the name by the way!

I'm in too, and yes, it's raining again, I've got to go out and be all businesslike this afternoon when I'd much rather stay home and potter about on here ...

We're off to London for our wedding anniversary this weekend so there'll be a lot of eating and drinking, so I've tried to save up a few calories this week, not sure how successfully. Oh well!

Have a great fast day everyone, good luck, stay dry ... :clover: :clover:
Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to this site and I'm fasting today. Had a feeble attempt at 5:2 before Christmas, which for me was perhaps not the best time to start something new, but today I am beginning in earnest (honestly!).
Welcome rosie59 and I hope you go well! and all the other new people fasting today!

Off to bed here very soon, a bit peckish, but I can eat tomorrow!
Second fast day of the week....yay no more til Monday when I will have completely 3 weeks. It is flying by and the weight I'm glad to say is flying off too!

Makes it all worth while....have a good day All
i'm with ya too Otter! Pre-planned my eating today but i think i'm cutting it close! Am having a lunch of a rice cracker, some chicken and 2 cucumber batons!

Lots of water between now and tea time of pasta, gonna be a hungry bunny! lol, but it's all worth it!
I'm in too, boiled egg on a rivita for lunch and chicken and salad for dinner. This will be my fourth week on this plan and i only wish i started sooner. Good luck everyone.
I am in today.
I have gone off Bovril and I am trying a Miso Soup today.. I don't think I like it? It might be nasty enough for me to appreciate Bovril again..!?
I am in today as well. Have been doing ADF for a week and have lost 2.3 pounds so I guess that is a good thing. Don't know if I can maintain it but after a social event last night eating nothing but carbs ( and putting on 1.4 lb overnight  ) I am still feeling full and looking forward to a fast day. Good luck everyone :clover: :like: :clover: :like:
I'm in too. After losing a few lbs rapidly at the start, I am now settled into long slow balancing things out... Had a pig out weekend really, for various reasons, so Mondays fast hasn't had much impact! hoping today's will shift me downwards. Am trying to eat to TDEE on non fast days and am usually fine weekdays but the weekend is hard. But am also trying to be realistic about the psychological stuff. If I am only going down half a lb. week, but can sustain it, then that is the right direction!
I am 'in' today. I am plateauing again grrrrr. Averaging 57.4k this week and it won't go down. However the article about plateauing I bookmarked said that it's 'good' to plateau on a level for a while before losing more weight as your body is re-setting itself. Well I can take that on board!
I have just planned and prepped some of my tea grilled chicken and then wedges of potato, butternut squash and sweet potato and some carrots. I know it's probably on the too much on the carbi side for some people but I don't seem to be affected by in the hunger sense. Am trying very hard to resist the caramel shortbread I made yesterday. I will have some tomorrow.
I'm in. It's been a strange week with snow days here, so this is my first fast of the week. I'm going to try to fast again tomorrow (or a modified fast if need be!)

Have a great fast day everyone!
I'm in! I have had only black, decaf tea so far, despite cooking lunch for my son and husband! I will have mine at about 7pm this evening, by which time I will be :starving: !

Nice to see you back, @The Fishbaum, and welcome to our recent newbies - you all seem to be making a good job of this WOE! Well done! :like:

:clover: Good luck to all of us fasting today! :clover: Onwards and downwards!
