Oh dear! I overslept this am and completely forgot it is was THURSDAY FASTDAY till this pm. Had soup for lunch 190 cals and spinach and a bit of duck for dinner just now. Going back to read all you posts now. Then to bed. Best wishes to anyone still fasting!
Hi @ferretgal, although I was keen to miss breakfast I didn't want to lose concentration at work. Having gone without breakfast twice this week with no untoward repercussions, I see this will work for me. The other three days I have a very light breakfast with my DH which is important to both of us; our time together.
My youngest (teenage) daughter and the only one at home for now, eats breakfast but doesn't often eat lunch. Until 5:2 that worried me, now I realise pestering her will achieve nothing but irritation for both of us. She just doesn't like to eat at school.
She happily eats when she gets home and a healthy dinner. 5:2 is reassuring in that being flexible is ok, it's not a disaster to miss or postpone a meal, even for a teenager. 5:2 is liberating! :)
