Helloooo all 8-) Second ever day fasting for me, and I'm actually enjoying it a bit! Nice not to have to worry about food. I'm at home with my toddler all day, so he's keeping me distracted (well he's currently asleep :sleepy: on me, dribbling down my arm... )

Hourglass your chocolate raisin pig out made me smile, that just sounds like me!!
Usually my fasts are easy and successful... Been partaking since April (5:2 but some 4:1 when it's a 'holiday')

But just broke it today with a pack of beef hula hoops. For some reason today, I just KNEW I was going to 'fail'. Self-fulfilling prophecy!

Now I could just not have my dinner and it'd still be kind of a fast. But that's not likely to happen...
Hello fellow-fasters!
I'm on fast 2 of the week and its my afternoon off. Stomach has been grumbling away to itself just reading the posts above! I ate pretty much a whole garlic stick last night and not optimistic about tomorrows weigh in but hoping for a plateau!
On the plus side my trousers feel quite loose; in april when I started they were literally cutting into my flesh across my middle, I had a red band at night and I kinda looked pregnant!! That thought is keeping me going!!
Nothing for me until 7pm then its peppered mackerel and a green salad - yum yum!!
Spanner, what's a garlic stick? Also peppered mackerel salad is a fave.of mine! :-D
HI All

Im on my 6th Fast Day, I have enjoyed the diet so far, not seen a great weight loss but im sticking with it as i do feel like ive lost something even tho the scales are not saying so!

Im having carrot and coriander fresh soup from ASDA only 154 in the whole tub for lunch and quorn fillets with salad for dinner, the quorn fillets only have 40 cals each so they are great!

My mum is doing the 5:2 with me and she is experiencing stomach cramps on her fast days, is this normal or is it hunger pains?
Welcome to the forum jaders01! Be sure to take measurements! Sometimes when the scale is not being very cooperative the tape measure will show results. :) As for your mum's stomach cramps, I don't know, hopefully someone else will have some advice about that.
I don't think stomach cramps are normal. I don't get them and I have 't read of others getting them.

My day went well. Coffee for breakfast, miso soup at 1 pm, then I made a yummy hearty soup with baked meat balls,( local beef), our own garden carrot, tomato (from last summer's garden - from the freezer) our own chicken stock, our own garlic and parsley. Local onions. A proper locovore feast. And, yes, I'd like a chocolate biscuit. But I won't have one.
Welcome Jaders (10,000th member!!). Your fast day menu sounds yummy!!
Hey hey hey fasters!

Today is just my 3rd fast and so far it's been ok. Decided to have a nice lazy lie in after a few hectic days before taking a walk to the shop to buy coffee for my newly acquired coffee machine. Yum!

The sun is shining so I'm going to take a nice long walk with himself later on, maybe go feed the ducks...as long as I don't tuck into the bread myself on the way!!

We talked a lot last night about setting a wedding date which is soooo exciting!! And great motivation to keep on track so I can fit into the dress of my dreams!

So, yeah, the hunger pangs suck but it'll be worth it when I'm walking up the aisle and everybody's like, DANG!!

Fasting today - feeling rather cold and the air con in here aint helping
Fasted today, 2nd for the week, just had a small meal this evening. All good. Will weigh in the morning and hope for a decrease.......
I'm fasting today, but it's a hard one. I was out last night having a boozy girlie dinner. I'm tired, stressed (negotiating my job exit under a deadline), hungry, slightly hungover (though not too bad as I've been religiously drinking water) and miserable. I am really looking forward to my Pret a Manger popcorn (137 cals) on the train home.
We are in here......just had a birthday weekend blowout with cheesecake, cheesecake and more cheesecake......at this point will be glad if I stay the same. But it was sooooo worth it  Fasting today will get things back on track :like:
Good morning from the midsection of the US. I'm in today. I was ready to throw in the towel when I was awake in the wee hours with a rumbly tummy, but once again, knowing that my husband was halfway through his fast back home on the other side of the world and knowing now that the hunger pangs really do go away when you're not paying attention, I went with eating nothing and did in fact fall back asleep. This is such a helpful thread too. Good luck US fasters, well done Pacific fasters and keep going European fasters - almost there.
Phew, made it to bedtime! Even though the forum server was down.
I'm very pleased with myself because motivation was low today! :victory:

Good luck USA fasters... :clover:
