Still at the very least it's 22:2 and as I am sure I've hit a major plateau it's kind of starting into maintenance.
Good luck everyone
Out of pure interest why are some of you doing 1000cal fasts?
Good luck to all
Others have eaten more than 500 and still managed to shift the weight!
SO many variations! However, it seems to be advised to stick to straightforward 5:2 to begin with, see how you get on after a good few weeks, then vary if you feel you need to try something different.
Hope this explains.
Hope your fast is going ok!
I think the main reason people do 1000cal fasts is that they are on maintenance, and are following the Krista Varady (I think it is) suggestion of 3 days at 1000cal to maintain.
Perhaps some people doing 4:3 may decide to have one of the fast days higher cals too.
Best wishes for your journey with this way of eating.
(And re my fast day - have had a miso soup but still hope to make the rest of the day a liquid fast. The menfolk are having T-bone steaks and baked potatoes done in the Weber, plus steamed veggies. DH is cooking. )
Drinking lots of fizzy water and tea. Good luck everyone
Interesting about the 1000 cal days for maintenance. I could do that very easily - have had plenty of practice in the past doing that 7 days a week
Good luck everyone. I am thinking of changing things up today and going to M&S and treating myself to a nice calorie counted ready meal - instead of my usual fast day dinner of eggs....
Have a lovely fast day all, pax.
I'm going to take my mug of tea outside and wander round the garden sussing out jobs for a bit. Hmm, might forage a few raspberries while I'm there...
