I'm in today. I normally fast on Mondays, too, but was away yesterday. I am off from work today (I'm a teacher) and am going to try skipping breakfast and having all my calories for dinner. We'll see how it goes. I'm always afraid to do it when I work, since I feel like I need the energy to deal with the kids!

Have a good fast day everyone!
@cblasz I'm a teacher too and always have my fasts when teaching by saving all my calories for an evening meal. In fact, because of that, I'm finding this week quite difficult as it's the half term holiday in the UK now!

I'm in today, and hope today gets better - some days are just 'ugh', don't you think?! Fasting is the least of my worries.
Hello everyone I am 'in' today too......good luck fellow fasters.
Hi @Doodle - what do you teach? I definitely find fasting easier when I'm working. The time flies by in the afternoon. But, still I'm not sure if I need the energy to get going in the morning. That's why I thought it safer to try skipping breakfast today. We are on a short February vacation. I have a lot to do to keep me busy today though! I hope your day gets better!
And.... done. That's my second ever back to back fast over. Just catching up with everyone before I head off to bed. Good luck to those still fasting and sweet dreams.
Its lunch time at my training course and it is taking all of my willpower not to go and eat!

My husband will always answer 'children' to that question! I teach music :) How about you? I hope your day goes well.

Today has not been easy so far - heard that a year 1 (age 6) pupil died yesterday - he was very ill and in hospital for several months, but it doesn't make it any easier. Also, my cousin's father in California has died in the night - he was 96 so of course we were expecting it at some point, but again, really hard to bear. Meanwhile, teen daughter is being awkward, husband is on a long haul flight to Australia for an education sharing trip and other daughter is cross about losing the back of an earring! I would just like to scream!

Hi Chook - How did you find your first back to back fasting day?

I am doing my first back to back today having already fasted yesterday and strangely feel better today compared to how I felt yesterday?!
I'm fasting Tuesday/Saturday this week as I'm traveling those days. It will just be easier to not eat than have to deal with airline/airport food. That way, I can enjoy my trip with its banquets & luncheons. Bringing Zone bars & Glucerna drinks to hit my 500 today & Saturday. Good luck to all, have a great week.
I'm in today as well. I usually fast Mondays, but since my husband and I were both off for the holiday I changed to today. I'm choking down my black coffee - After doing 5:2 for 10 months you'd think I'd be used to it!
@Doodle - I'm so sorry to hear of the bad news you've had. Hang in there!

I teach computers to grades K-8. I also teach a college class (so not necessarily children! )

I hope things get better soon!
Fasting today too! I'm usually a Mon., Thurs. girl but since yesterday was President's Day and everyone is home for school vacation, we finished off Valentine's day candy. Good Riddance! @RobMorris, good luck with 4:3. I keep thinking about it, but not 2 days in a row.
I'm in today. It should have been yesterday but we took the grandchildren out for the morning and then decided to stay out longer. That meant that I just had to eat lunch because someone else was cooking it! I didn't have any breakfast or dessert though, so I was semi-good! One has to  a WOE which allows your eating to be so flexible! Black tea all day for me and an early dinner because I'm out this evening.

Onwards and downwards, fellow fasters!
I'm fasting today and can honestly say I'm really struggling!!! I had a bowl of coco pops in the morning with a cup of tea at a friend house. I did 20 mins of stepping exercise with a pint of water about 12ish. My plan was to fast until 4.30 when I'd have my final microwave meal of 259 cals but I've just had to give in and have some wot sits waffles which were 79 cals.
It's my 4th week fasting and it's really no easier. I'm so hungry all the time! I dread it I really do but it's working so I know I've got to stick with it.
I guess with me nibbling in the day I might not be doing this properly? Any help and advice would be much appreciated! Xx
Sarah - you might want to adjust what you are eating on fast days. You want to try to do high protein and low carb. The coco pops were probably not very helpful! :) Some people don't eat breakfast at all and save all 500 calories for night time. They say that eating anything kinda triggers the hunger.

I usually eat a high protein breakfast (scrambled eggs with some ham or turkey) and then have a high protein dinner with some sort of vegetable.

Also, maybe you want to not exercise on the fast day? I know that some people do, but it might be making you hungrier.

Hang in there!
