Soups are easy to make ahead and reheat and tend to be quite filling if you add loads of veggies, perhaps some chickpeas or if you make beetroot/apple soup allow for a spoon of low-cal yoghurt. Herbal teas during the day help with feeling cold too and both provide you with the liquids your body needs. Good luck!
I'm in today after abandoning yesterdays fast. At least it was a 16:8 (or 19:5). Feeling much better today so know this will go well.

Good luck to everyone especially those just starting out
I'm in today, usually fast on Mondays but was a tad hungover Sunday and couldn't face fasting yesterday ;)

Had a bit of a blow out this weekend so have to get back on track. Party on 29th where a dress is going to have to be worn, and there will be photos, yikes!
Hi Janeg.

I'm fasting today, just made a huge salad for lunch that I couldn't finish, so not even on 200 cals yet!

Hang in there, you'll be fine. Tomorrow's another day

Paul.
Fasting today, doing the 4/3 this time and fasting Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's, got the books and tried it a couple of months back doing 5/2 and this worked well, but had a couple of weeks with no weight lose so packed it in, going to sick to it this time, as its great to be able to eat what you want on other days.
Audrey.
Fasting today and nearly broke it in the first ten minutes by forgetting. It was only when the apple was nearly touching my lips that I realised what I was doing.
I wasn't in my usual routine today as hubby had a bad night last night so I didn't get to bed till 3am, then I was rudely woken up by a jehovah's witness. So I was rattled, when I woke up. There should be a law that states that you can electrocute Jehovah's witnesses or throw buckets of night soil over them. Its such a struggle to be polite to them when they are so rude as to not heed a polite 'I'm not interested'.
Fasting today as tomorrow was cut short. Still don't have taken anything else than black coffee and don't feel any hunger, even after my 1h daily exercises. Will have a soup tonight

Julie, we also have Jehovah witnesses here but they gave up on me as I drive them crazy, I used to study their bible and could point what is silly in it. That was great fun and I never saw them again
I'm in for fasting on Tues and Thurs. I even look forward to it cos I eat the same foods each week and don't have to think about what to buy or count the calories. Breakfast everyday is 1 Weetabix and almond milk - apart from more time at weekend to have toast or porridge; lunch is a big salad and desert spoonful of tuna (spring water - low cals); dinner is stir 'boil' (rather than fry) veggies, 5 spice seasoning, little bit of oyster sauce, & cauliflower rice with bit of chicken on Tuesday, and homemade curry (no oils added)& cauliflower rice with bit of chicken for Thursday. Cups of tea with almond milk during the day and evening, plus water.

After plateau for 5 weeks, I lost 3lbs at last, last week, and back on track, yay

Hi Jane.

I'm also fasting today. Normally Tuesday and Thursday. Hang in there, tomorrow's another day

Paul.
Hello, I am fasting today too- I intend to do Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday normally.
Keep it up everyone! Remember- we are now well over half way through..8 hours till be time and not a single calories yet. Teatime is going to be approaching soon.
Gosh Sarahslim - love that name! How do you manage not having anything at all, I've read other don't eat all day, but I'd be ill. I tried it and felt yeuk. I need 3 lots of eating, anything even a small carrot stick.

hi there Curlyshar

I am with you on that one, I admire those who can go all day without food and then eat at tea time, I cant do it, simple as :frown: :frown: so I spread the calories throughout the day, 100 for breakfast, 100 for lunch and the rest for dinner

it works for me, and I drink lots too... :victory:  :like:
Well, that's another fast day over for me. Fast broken at 7pm with poached eggs and toast as usual. Resisted the goodies and can have them tomorrow. (万塔virtuous smilie)
Now sitting relaxing , playing on the forum and will probably not last too long before hitting the pit (going to bed) :sleepy:
For those who are wondering about only eating once a day, there is a thread about the 'hunger switch' which is very useful.
I started having two meals and gradually lunch got later and merged with dinner. Everyone's different and for the health benefits, the longer you can go without food, seems to be more beneficial. But still within the sensible fasting regime ;)
Hope everyone is doing fine.
:clover: :geek:
I'm hanging in there. It's a cold day in sunny Lunnon, sun's gone down now and suddenly, about half an hour ago, I got an attack of the chills. SO cold! I've now made myself a cup of coffee (no milk or sugar. Obv!) and microwaved a hot bag which I'm cuddling on my lap. I'm finally thawing out!

I've grown to prefer one meal towards the end of the day. Eating a bit several times a day would be ruination for me - I have no sense of portion control and would end up having a bit more and then a bit more ..... This way I have one big meal to look forward to and go to bed with a happy full tummy.

Each to their own, eh?
