Second half of November already! Where has the year gone?
Second fast of the week for me. Had a bit of a blow out day yesterday with grazing on goodies then a whole pizza and wine for tea. How did I manage to eat all of that? :bugeyes: :confused: :shock:
In Temptation Palace at the moment with on site catering wafting dates and cookies and nibbles in front of me. And it's probably going to be a quietish day, so loooonnnngggg time sitting about. :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:
Anyway it'll be fine.

Jane what days do you normally do?

I'm not in but I'm trying not to go mad. Want to be able to have a few glasses of wine and some cheese tonight :)

Thanks wine and lil! When the clocks change , the hour difference can make me feel I'm the only person in the world!
Lil, I ususally do sunday- the begining of the working week in the sandpit- tuesday and thursday.
It is flexible though and I keep thinking I'll stop 4:3 , but it's so easy now. Thursday can be a wee bit of a pain cos that's like friday night (the weekend in friday and saturday) but with the stupid hours beloved and I work it doesn't really matter. And if I really feel like it , I either do 16:8, and stick in another day or just don't eat until night time and don't go mad. Seems to be working for me and doesn't really interfere.

I am fasting today Janeg after my disastrous attempt at my fast day yesterday, I decided to do it again today. It's late afternoon here in Australia, and so far I have only had a protein shake and lots of water, herb tea and coffee and I am feeling good.

However, I am looking forward to my evening meal of a small piece of steak, some asparagus, spinach and mushrooms in garlic.

Hi Jane! I'm fasting today! Been waiting for someone to start the conversation!

Normally fast on Mondays, decided against it as one of the girls in the office brought in a cake. I suppose that's the nice thing about this diet!

However I overindulged yesterday also - not too badly but for some reason I got so bloated in the evening. I think it's the old overeating thing I cannot get under control. Anyway still feeling the bloat today, and therefore not feeling as great as I normally am on my fast day!

4.45 pm and I've had a miso soup a couple of hours ago, not doing bad but the pangs are starting to kick in! Want a good sized meal tonight but I'm nervous of the bloat never going away!

Now I'm rambling... lack of food makes me cuckoo!!

am in too, normally its Mondays for me but couldn't yesterday due to hubbys birthday!

eaten too much choc am sure so I chickened out of stepping on the scales today :-)maybe tomorrow...

I'm in. I usually do Tuesdays and Thursdays and it is now just a habit that those are the days when I keep below 500 cal. I sometimes throw in a 36 hour fast just to keep the body guessing but have never yet managed a 4:3.
Its my first fasting day today so not sure how its going to go but feel OK at the moment.

Having an oats so simple instant at lunch and already got my tea of WW cottage pie with some sugar snap peas.

I'm not hungry but cant stop thiking about food all the time - its strange really.

Usually go to aqua aerobics on a Tue evening but not sure how I will feel later on.

All support welcomed.

I'm in. Repairing damage done by two consecutive days of massive carb consumption. Feeling very sluggish, slow start this morning, don't know if there's a connection.

Tuesday and Friday fasting usually works well for me but this week the second fast will have to be Thursday cos I have visitors on Friday. Not ideal but hey-ho. That's the point of a flexible WOL, right?
Hi Everyone, am back on 5:2 and have had my first fast day today & didnt get a headache, Thanks to info in forums i think. Had coffee for breakfast, miso for lunch ( salt important apparently) & sipped diet coke until dinner. The diet coke really helps although it would be good to find a healthy substitute. Well done you for your first fast - you might want to not do the ready meals and try cooking protein and veg yourself. The readymeals tend to spike your blood sugar to be honest and can make you hungrier. Anyway - the first 4 fasts are always the worst- lots of water, herb tea and sparkling water should keep the worst of the pangs away and cure any head aches. most importantly -keep busy and read the forum for support.

I'm in today for a second fast. Had thought of doing 16:8 but scales disappointed me today so doing a 2nd one of 3 this week. Back to back though due to social commitments so bit depressed about that but nothing feels as good as looking skinny feels. I'm going to have 2 homemade bread rolls when I get home and I'll have quark if I get a bit light headed today. Roll on 7pm though when I can start getting into bed - its a freezing 0degrees here today
Thanks for your reply jmousey, for me I need something that I can just have otherwise I will start eating and snacking if I don't have something I can just put in the microwave and eat.

Hopefully further down the line I will get more self control and be able to do my own foods.

Have sugar free chewing gum on my desk and having a diet coke this afternoon but drinking water at the moment.

Still not hungry but again cant stop thinking about food!!

hang in there and the time will soon go, I am like you thinking about food and being at home doesn't help grrr, BUT tell myself yes you can have it all but TOMORROW lol :-)

we're in this with you, you can do it!! good luck, though am sure you'll be fine x
