First full fast for me in a couple of weeks, going to make it a good one!!!
Here I am for my second of the week. It's raining here in Melbourne. Lovely!
I'm in today, instead of yesterday. Wet here too, Chook. Inside day, trying to finish a challenging knitting project.
I'm in today and can feel it's going to be a struggle after an amazing long weekend in sunny Sydney, and now back at work in a very rainy Melbourne!

I'm in too after a couple of days of enjoying Easter goodies and eating out. Will be going out the next 3 days as well, so today is my only opportunity.

We had lovely weather in Adelaide for Easter, especially Sunday - a perfect autumn day. Took mum and dad to the beach. Today is overcast but supposed to be fine. I am sure rain is needed, but am very happy for it not to happen while I am here!

absolutely,@debs. It's now cleared up here and the sky is blue and the grass is glistening with water drops. Perfect autumn day.

I am in Tasmania too . My fast day instead of Monday , due to the easter weekend.

In Cyprus at the mo. and it's a lovely day but we are packing up and moving so this could be a stressful time! Also I think I am going to try 4:3 to get a kick start. Lots to think about :dazed:

Hi there. I'm a 35 year old active male. My height is around 5'8" and I weight around 175. I want to give this lifestyle a shot but I don't want to lose any weight. I want to reep all the benefits excluding weight loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Todd

Just wanted to say that you have had a great weight loss since starting this WOL, so please do not be disappointed by the scales reading a little higher than you wished by Easter. As you know, weight can vary by quite a bit from day to day and even during the day, and the extra grams could just be measurement error.

Best wishes as you continue this journey - and I am sure you are trying not to think of yourself as a dieter but someone who is learning to be in control of what and when they eat, and to be able to enjoy all foods that you choose to eat. :)

I'm in and hurting - ate so much chocolate over the weekend. So a liquid fast to get my body back on track. I've bought ingredients to make pho, so tomorrow I'll have stock simmering and I'm already hanging out for the soup.
I hear you Katamac, I completely od'd on Sun, just got the sugar monster craving badly, so trying to liquid fast today too.

Welcome to this Way Of Life (WOL) :)

There are LOTS of ideas, tips and support to be found in this forum for this WOL - the best thing to do is read lots of the threads, especially initially those from newbies in the Introduce yourself topic, then read any threads where the subject seems of interest. And read the 5:2 diet FAQ (link at top of page) of course!

A few tips to start with - remembering that not all work for all people:
- keep busy on fast days, hold off eating til as late as possible - save all the cals for one nice meal of protein and lots of veg, some fruit for dessert
- drink lots of clear non sweetened liquids on fast days
- you need to find a Way Of Eating (WOE) that you can sustain "forever"

PS I just wanted to say that your request might get lost here, as this thread is likely to be mainly read by those who are actually fasting today- usually people new to the forum start their own thread (not that I did).
