Hello all!
It's my first ever fasting day today. I decided yesterday to try this out after hearing many good things. Slightly nervous but hoping things will go well :)
Morning all and hi to all our friends who've had a long weekend for Australia Day.

I'm in, already on my second coffee of the day, just need to get my two litre bottle of sparkling water and I'll be set. Good luck everyone.
Bumping this thread so those who have had a lie in can find it
morning all,

I'm in today after a good fast yesterday. I tried back 2 back for the first time last week (only started 5:2 this month) and it wasn't too bad. And as i'm not hungry today i thought i might as well get the second one for this week over and done with.

happy fasting everyone!
Good luck with the backtoback @Sue.Q

Bean
I am on my first fast today and no idea what I will have tonight. Bowl of veggie soup for lunch that I do know as keeps me going. Missing breakfast as not a big eater then anyway. Looking for simple inspiration for evening meal. No spices for me though. Good luck all
Have you thought about an easy ready meal, say, one from M&S?

Personally, I'm going for a 2-egg omelette tonight but am still deciding on what filling to have. Can my brain cope with working out the calories, thats the thing?

In short, I try to keep things simple and its probably a good idea to pre-plan meals on fast days, just so you don't have to spend too long in the kitchen...with all those food morsels screaming at you "Eat me, eat me....eat me NOW"

Good luck!

Bean :dazed:
 Yes @shellsrock I actually find them OK others won't go there but my plans for the week changed slightly so its easier for me to swap at least with this WOL you can do this and be forgiven lol. :clover: Good. Luck if you do try again.
Good luck and welcome @bellatrix and @Granny Moo
wish I as thin on the ground or anywhere @Sian!
I'm in today- a strange one for me though. Working a stupid shift so eating toast at half three this morning, bed and slept until noon. I will not eat until the usual tea time at 7ish and then go through the night. I suppose to really get the benefits I'll have to miss breakfast tomorrow morning. We'll see how that goes before I commit to it!
Good luck everyone!
Hmmm...crashed and burned! After I got home from work to a meal cooked for me by my daughter...
Moving on, will try again on Thursday and do Saturday as well.

Well done to all of you who succeeded today!

X
I'm in today, also failed yesterday. Made it to lunchtime then a salmon and cream cheese sandwich attacked me.

Really struggling today. Not sure why. :( Last fast was thursday and was a good one, first time I made it all the way to dinner. Wanted to do that today as I've got a 400 odd calorie meal planned but couldnt manage so having about 80 calories worth of soup at the moment, and I've had 25 calories in tea so far

Must keep telling myself I can eat what I want tomorrow....
I'm in today. I was going to do it tomorrow and then I realised it was 1pm and I wasn't hungry yet so I thought why not. Saves me doing it tomorrow. I am also feeling guilty that OH gave me toast before bed last night that most definitely wasn't included in my TDEE Kcals! Two hours left to work and then I can slob in front of the tv with a film and the dogs and that will distract me until dinner time.
@emilymeg and @catamo
please stop being so harden yourselves! There is a very good chance you will be in calorie deficit anyway and if you have gone fro longer than usual before eating, the benefits of fasting could have kicked in.
And, you can look back on what has happened, think about it and try to identify what caused the change of planned behaviour.
No failing, no crashing!
What's not to love about his way of eating?
I'm in too! I'm going out tonight and will have to watch everyone drink wine as I sip water, but this is the best day to fast on, so....
I am 'in' today too....going to have bell pepper stuffed with four cherry tomatoes, a little Feta cheese, an olive or two & a drizzle of oil, cooked in the oven for 25 mins and served up with a watercress salad, but that's later! Bit peckish right now so getting some Earl Grey tea.
