After the shock when I got on the scales this morning I'm definitely in! I'm also doing an alcohol-free January :struggle:
I am in today. In fact I'd rather be in than out at the moment!
I'm fasting today - an egg and clementine for breakfast. Skipping lunch and then will probably be in town for supper. Perhaps a small chili at Tim Horton's (290) and a coffee. All the best to you Thursday fasters!
Hello everyone! I'm checking in on my first fast day after 3 weeks break. Just 1lb up from before Christmas and 19lbs lighter since the same time last year! Happy times! :)
Just wanted to add it's the first time in many years I'm not disappointed in how my body looks on 2nd January. I also enjoy the fact that I don't have to make any New Year Resolutions to lose weight because of the aforementioned disappointment. :)
I'm in, in, in!

DId some half-hearted half-fasts over the last 2 weeks but proper fasts are now BACK ON!

I agree with what Gorba says - for the first time I'm actually not displeased with how I'm looking on Jan 2nd, and I've really enjoyed feeling slim over Christmas. BUT having said that I'm not getting on the scales yet as I don't want to start feeling down about numbers, as I'm bound to be a bit up on what I was before. Not to worry! Onwards!

Good luck everyone and here's to a fantastic 2014  :clover: :like:
I'm in - gained all weight I had lost in the last 5months over xmas. Back to the drawing board - doing paleo and 5:2 but struggling with my first fast today as my tummy not well. Going for endoscopy on Sat so hoping it will show up something only minor is wrong- bit nervous. Have to fast Friday night so will be in today and tomorrow

Exciting carieoates, where are you looking at going on your hols?

Don't think I'm coming down your way for a couple of years. We're looking at Moraira, a lovely, harbour village in Spain just half an hour north of benidorm. No high rises, a bit pricey, but we usually have a villa and do BBQ most nights. Taking son, his girlfriens, and the in laws. And we might be squeezing another in maybe northern France, recommendations for a big family friendly villa with pool gladly received. Definitely got something to aim for body wise.
Fasted today, first one for 3 weeks. Will get on the scales tomorrow, not particularly looking forward to it but hey ho! Had green tea all day and i've just enjoyed the chicken, chorizo and butter bean dish from Belinda Berry's new 5:2 cook book. It was only £4 to download to my kindle. I totally recommend it.
Dear Fasting friends, I'm also back today! Feeling as many of you do that it's time today to repair and restrict calories!

:clover: everyone.
Very nearly at end of 24 hour water and black coffee only fast. Bowl of gluten free soup to come then just water until late brunch tomorrow.
I will rid myself of December's accumulated flubber by Valentines Day, I will, I will :0)

How right you are, I've been thrilled about being slim over the festivities too (it's a big part of what's motivated me to be kinda careful), I'm only 2lb up on my pre-Christmas weight & 28lb down on same time last year

I don't have to worry about losing weight because (a) I don't have much to lose & (b) I know how to do it !!!!!!!

Previous years I would have put easily 4 times the weight on & them been so depressed about it that I'd have eaten EVEN MORE! (I basically didn't know how to stop eating!)

THANK YOU 5:2 :like: :like:
fasted on 23rd and Monday. Overate less than usual over Christmas, but the last two days were awful. Have fasted today and feel that my mind is back on track. Have put on just over a pound since the 23rd,felt a lot worse. Glad to have my mind back.
I've done it! First fast, and first alcohol free day since mid Dec. Went really well, water and black tea all day, and curried eggs and veg tonight. Will 16:8 tomoz.

Night all
