Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

I'm in and happy to be here. If you've read my "sinking" read you'll know I've been struggling and this is my first fast in almost 2 weeks after many attempts and if I'm honest, some binge eating
BUT today is a new day, I can do this! Hang in there above posters!

Yes, I read and replied to your post as I've been there, wanting to eat everything not nailed down. sometimes it is best to get it out of your system though. By rights I should be stuffing myself silly as I'm stuck at home alone while my dearly beloved is working in Victoria for four weeks, but so far I have stuck with it and lost a kg last week so that is my inspiration. I've just had a dandelion tea and the hunger pangs have temporarily stopped.
There is a jar of peanut butter leering at me again but I am determined not to give in to his wiley ways!!
Yes, dingos are gorgeous and wrongly much maligned.
Waratah, I second LilSmiler's post - you can do this! I hear you about losing momentum as I have been there many times over the past few months. But you pick yourself up and try again - and you CAN succeed.
This week has been my pick-myself-back-up week, and even with hormone fluctuation, I have stayed on track, and feeling really good too.
Debs, I too read Carorees blog and was awed and inspired by her weight loss! I thought about the benefits of 16:8 and trying it for myself too... although 5:2 combined with 16:8 does seem like A LOT of fasting and I'm not sure how healthy that would be for me, personally. I need to lose weight but I really need to do it in a sustainable and maintainable way.

Although I've been losing I think my TDEE for food days has been too low. I've been doing it at my target weight when I read I should be doing it at 80% of my current weight. 80% because I have a lot to lose. The difference is about 200 calories.
I will echo one of the above comments and say that I actually find the fast days easier than the non-fast days! I know exactly what I can eat, and that's it. No, "oh, a small piece of cupcake won't hurt" which tends to happen a lot the other 5 days a week! Fortunately this WOE is still working despite the treats on the non-fast days - put a pair of jeans on which I bought at the beginning of summer, only to find they are ridiculously loose!
Wahoo! Stay strong today and remember how good you'll feel tomorrow
