Hi everyone I'm in. My fast days are Monday and Wednesday and I do find 4 feast days in a row difficult. Only problem is, I have a french class on a Thursday afternoon and I find my brain just doesn't work that well when I'm fasting and I can get quite tetchy! How some of you guys fast and work I do not know. Maybe I'll get better at fasting, I'm still pretty new to it.
I'm making Moogie's curry sauce to have with veg and chicken tonight,
Happy fasting everyone :-)
Hi

I'm in as well, normal Wednesday for me. #loversghost, I find Wednesdays harder as well and would love to do 6:1 but I do overindulge over the weekends, which do start on a Thursday for me!
I'm fasting today after a 6 day break in Iceland.Missed my Monday fast, hotel breakfasts every day , drank beer every day (but no wine because very expensive).I'm only 0.2lb up on last Wednesday so I'm quite happy. May do a 16:8 on Friday then back to the normal regime next week.
Count me in. I usually do Mondays and Wednesdays, I don't find midweek any harder than Mon, I do try to counter the 4 non fast days in a row with a 16/8 on a Friday and IF I am working to plan Tue and Thur are don't pig out days. The weekends I'm afraid I still go AWAL but it still seems to work. I am maintaining and am still in my range,
I am with you ! Fasting, all alone in my office, so quiet - walk at lunch, gym tomorrow morning.
Hi @Sassy1
For carb counting I use the Carb Manager app for my iPhone. There are others and there are books if you want to do it manually. Carb Manager lets you pick your daily carb goal and shows how close you are to it visually. It also tracks fat, protein and calories but they are sort of in the background. The food data base in the "Search" option is quite extensive. It is a bit U.S-centric if you are looking for brand name items but I have managed to find what I need so far.

With virtually everything having a nutrition content label on it, it is not hard. I think you are supposed to count "net carbs" which is total carbohydrates minus fibre.
If you are interested in low carb eating, head over to the Low Carbers Tent in this forum as they have lots of experience and advice (and recipes!) I also like Mark's Daily Apple blog/website and this is a link to daily carb levels and their association to weight loss (or gain  ) http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-prim ... continuum/

Good luck with your fast
Ahoy hoy!

Time for another fast... doing ok so far but I MUST remember to brush my teeth before I leave the house, my morning breath always sticks around for much longer when I'm fasting  Like last week with the pizza, I'm facing challenges later... got a meeting where someone's bringing along homemade brownies, oh woe is me! I may secrete the smallest one into a bag as a treat for tomorrow rather than miss out.
Making a stuffed yellow pepper with some kale on the side for my dinner tonight, comes in at about 400 calories I think. Will save the rest for a miso when I get home and a coffee and emergency nibbles.

Have a good day, all!
Thanks @Judithn, and also everyone for your tips for when you have several non-fast days in a row. :)

My fast day has nearly finished, with just a little over the 500cals consumed...

Best wishes to those of you still going :D
Hi all

I'm fasting today too (was supposed to be yesterday but the department ended up going out for lunch as it was a colleague's birthday).

Have had an actimel drink and blueberries for breakfast and am having nothing else until dinner tonight (Waitrose's spinach dal which is 261 calories).

Only problem is I have to pass the in-house cafe everytime I go to the ladies and she's got some lovely pastries on display! Oh well, off to make myself another black decaf coffee :frown:

Hope you are all having a good day :like:
So far on my fast days I have eaten a ready meal or poached eggs on toast as I thought it best to avoid the kitchen. Today I was feeling overly confident and thought I would make Moog's curry sauce. It is fab! but unfortunately I could not make it without a little taste ......... now my hunger monster is throwing the mother of all tantrums and it is only 11.25 - HELP!!!!
Yes I'm in today for my second fast of the week.
:clover: Good Luck to all fellow fasters. :clover: Sue
Rather late in the day but I'm in for 2/3. I'm surprised I'm actually sticking at it this week!
Well, my day is almost over. Strange day. I started with a run....well a jiggle on week 2 of c25k! Then a mega walk with the neighbour. I probably over did the exercise! Then I spent the rest of the day in the kitchen cooking. :?:  I'm off to my mam for a few days so I just HAD to make chocolate fudge, millionaire shortbread and a giant pot if stew.....I'm such an eeeeejit! That said, I found it easier to be busy and cooking than not. It worked for me anyways. I might get to taste the fruits of my labours tomorrow.
Think this has been the easiest fast day so far for me :) I've had a coffee, some miso, a stuffed yellow pepper and a big heap of steamed kale, and got about 200cal left over for a little porridge in about an hour or so to put the hunger monster to bed. I'm almost tempted to splash out and buy a pair of scales so I can see what all this is doing for me!
