Well fast day for me - and boy do I need it! Been hogging out all week, made the Adriano Zumbo brownies and the whole packet is 3600 cals - they'll be finished by Saturday...trouble with living alone! Then there was lunch out yesterday and wine all week. If I haven't put on weight it will be a miracle  Still I can do 4:3 next week if that's the case. Veg soup and coffee so far, a flask of coffee in my bag + an apple if I get starving. Then I'll have an 8 cal hot choc after work, followed by roast cauli/pumpkin/baby spinach/olives?/tomato salad...bit of mayo. Good luck to all fasting.
I'll be joining you in the morning :) Have a good one!

(I shall now go to bed dreaming about your brownies!!)
Me too, for a frenzy-free food day today, hooray.
I'll make some vege soup soon. I've had berries with a spoonful of yoghurt. I'll have miso later on. Happy fast day to all.
Good Morning!
I'm in again on a Wednesday, did my laps yesterday so hopefully won't be too hungry today.
I went back to Pilates for the first time in a year or so last week. My weight has gone up this week  so I'm hoping it's due to the water retention I've read about- I sure have the sore muscles!

Those brownies sound too yummy GMH- must buy a packet!!
I think I'll just have veges and an egg, then some fruit again for dinner and stick to herb teas and coffee till then.
Have a good day everyone.
Already started, about to go to bed. tomorrow will be my 40th fast day and I have a strange sort of day, will have to drive the 17miles to Inverness to get 1 or 2 last min things for our holiday and then pack. All that will make avoiding food during the day fine but then will be setting out for 4 hour journey to Glasgow at 6.30 pm. I usually eat at 7.30 - 8pm on fast days so I am going to have to think up something I can eat while in the car, I suppose a salad box springs to mind, I'm sure I won't starve, I could always buy tomato juice and veg juice and drink it throughout the journey and double up with a liquid fast. I may just have had a brain wave good luck to me and everybody else.
Had a headache this morning so wasn't sure I'd make it a fast day. I've hung in so far so I think I can make it the rest of the day.
gigi55 stay away from the Zumbos! They are lethal - should have a big sticker of the devil on the box ;>) I overcooked these ones as the oven didn't turn itself off - good news or they all would have been eaten in 2 days! The first batch I made were out of this world - I had the box in the pantry for a good month scared to make them LOL But my day has gone very well so far - feel good for not being a porker. Will be home by 3.15 whip the dogs off to the beach and be back in time to feed them and me - can't wait...ready to eat dog food haha - in fact my dogs eat better than some (lots) humans. I sometimes make them split pea & veg soup - dropped some off to a client once for their dogs to try - she didn't get my email and thought the neighbours had left some soup - she said it was delicious LOL. I give them meat with their veg, haven't inflicted my vegetarianism on them
I'm joining in for the odd Wednesday (in the morning) as I needed to bump for a food day at work on Thursday. Got to love the flexibility of 5:2.
I have to admit GMH I made a delicious Quince Frangipane Tart last week- now I think about it that could be another reason I've put on weight!
The split pea soup sounds delicious too--this time of the day on a fast, everything sounds good!
I'm fasting today too. Won't eat anything until tonight. Quite fancy poached egg on toast. I find if I have something I really love to look forward to it keeps me going. And that's not a meal I would drink wine with so I don't miss that either.
Good luck everyone!
Joining you all today although doesn't appear to be many of us. Going to try a liquid fast. So proper milky tea (usually limited to 2 a day) and flavoured yogurt when the hunger gets noisy! That can count as liquid :) May drink up to my calorie allowance and if really hungry will have enough cals floating around for salad to fill me up. Good luck everyone xx
I'm at work today and on my first ever fast day. Had a crumpet with a marginal amount of butter this morning (so hard for me when I normally pile it on lol) and a cup of tea. I'm crazy without my morning brew. But now I have a miso soup sachet for lunch at work (44 cal) and I'm off to Morrison's on the way home from work this afternoon to grab a nice calorie controlled evening meal, only because I can't be bothered to make anything tonight lol
I'm in too, after 3pm here so nearly at the end for me. Have only had a few cals (maybe 100) in milky coffee today so looking forward to a decent dinner of quiche made by hubby (will have to resist the home made crumpets he's cooked too!!)
Well its coming to the end of my fast day 7.40pm here. Today I trialled what I have seen many people are doing - I didn't have breakfast or lunch and then had a bigger dinner Calories for the day... About 425 so 175 to spare.

I got quite hungry for about 30mins around 1pm and then it passed and I was fine. Around 5pm I went for a 40min walk which felt so good! Although was a bit light headed when I got home. On fast days I usually use Subway as my food if I'm either away for work or cant be bothered cooking - tonight was a 6" chicken strip sub - yum yum
Hello - I'm in again today. I did 4:3 last week but can only manage 5:2 this week as I have plans! But am happy with how it is all going this time around... very happy in fact and slightly afraid it is all too good to be true. Just going with the flow right now and feel great.

Good Luck fellow fasters!
