I've noticed a few people are trying the one meal approach for the first time, me too, interesting to see if we can manage it but no stressing if we don't :)

Tried to go all day to tea time without eating, managed til just now, got home from work and ate my weetabix. Will try again next fast day, found it quite easy but felt a bit giggy at midday, it soon passed. By the time I got home, I could feel pretty strong hunger pangs and they didn't want liquids! Maybe I will get more used to it as I try it again.

Hi All,
This is my first time on this site, although I have been fasting for 4 weeks now. Loving the support on the site, I was feeling quite isolated as I don't know anyone doing the fast and my partner tends to ask "What is the latest fad then?" if I even mention not eating what he considers normally. I should not complain, it does feel like I have tried every idea going but it has been a long time since I have stuck to something for 4 whole weeks.
I have roughly 3-4 stone to loose (I am very top heavy so it is hard to judge what I need to loose). After 4 weeks I have 8 lbs off and considering that I practically bathed in chocolate on the non fast days, I am quite happy. The interesting thing I have noticed is that compared to any other diet I am loosing weight around my middle which I have not done since my kids were born 5 years ago, I have a very defined waist now and as far as I understand that is where the really dangerous fat is. I don't know if anyone else had notice this.
Anyway - good luck with your fasting today

Well done you - there's no way I'd be able to resist warm cheese scones. Glad to report that I've ignored the cake sale and they've packed up shop and skulked away

Well done Suchard007 I am impressed - agree with the warm cheese scones though, I don't think there are many of us that could resist those...

Wednesdays are a harder day for me as I teach in the community and have my lunch (or distinct lack of it) with my students. I have to sit there as they scoff all sorts of yummy food in front of me, but my willpower is getting better and bless 'em they all know what diet I am on and have stopped offering me some.

Hope we are all going strong.

Just popped in from gardening and visit to garden centre, they were making their 'foody smell' to try to entice people into their tea shop...now having a black Earl Grey to try to tide over the hunger pangs till tonight. We don't normally eat till about 9 but I always have to make it earlier on a fast day!

This is my 4th fast day and probably been my worst. I have been cold all day and that always makes me hungry. I am still unsure if this will work as at the end of my first week (5:2) I had not lost any weight at all which was very dispiriting. Quite enjoying the Fast process though. :)

All Ive eaten today is a very small handful of nuts and two cups of coffee with milk, plus lots of water. Am feeling very hungry and tired so although I will try this method again Im thinking it maybe doesnt suit me. I think I could quite easily skip lunch so will maybe try that next. Its good to experiment tho.

It was going so well........
Half a pot of skinny soup for late lunch, then arrived home, made a cuppa and before I knew it a slice of banana and walnut loaf was making its way to my tummy!
Oh well, I'll have to try again on Friday!
