I've not seen a great weight loss (just under 1 kg in 3 weeks) and I don't feel much healthier for the regime - but I'm sticking to it as it is a sustainable way to look after myself.

Carorees, I hope your labs go well today. That's very interesting about the cholesterol.
Oh well, I have reduced my target weight so that I can continue using my old scales and if I hit that target I will be a sensible BMI at the doctors .
I have also been to the docs today and as a result am feeling old (I am only 44)! It looks like I have early onset arthritis and also my blood pressure was slightly on the high side when usually it is spot on!
Am going for a blood test on Monday and have to go back for blood pressure in month.
I have done well on the weight loss since starting 5:2 so let's now hope the health benefits start kicking in!!
On the plus side a good day fasting - only coffee, water and fruit tea so far and now Fat Dormouse has mentioned smoked salmon and eggs think that could be dinner sorted!
Hope everyone elses day is going well.
I've been feeling really hungry all day - ate my one meal (tuna salad) at lunch as I was in the office today. Felt so hungry on the way home that I was convinced I would need some soup to comfort me once in the door. However I really did want comfort food because once at home I felt I could wait until tomorrow to eat.
So glad to be out of the cold and in the toasty warm!
Although quite sincerely, better to go over with something really nutritious than with sugar.
