Good morning Friday fasters!

A day of housework to distract me today and nothing til dinner when it will be chicken and veg.

I'm in...second fast of week 5......last ate at 18:00 last night, and hoping to make it to dinner on liquids......good luck all...x
Im in too, although slightly nervous as its the first where im not going to eat until dinner, ive been splitting between lunch and dinner until now. Tweaking slightly as no real change in weight, but im sticking with it! :)
Fasting today! I'm also planning a day of housework, haha. We can do this! :victory: . My meal plan are healthy green juices with a fruit smoothie for breakfast :).
I'm in! Think it's around fast number 35ish. Going to the docs to have bloods taken for cholesterol etc in a bit. Fingers crossed the results are good! I have read that when you are used to fasting you release fat into the bloodstream more easily (so it can be used for fuel) and so get high cholesterol readings. I had a snack around 9pm last night to try to ensure the fasting time before the blood is drawn is not too long. I don't normally eat after dinner before a fast so we'll see if it makes any difference to how today's fast goes. No food till this evening...which reminds me I must take something out of the freezer for tonight!
Hi everyone, I am joining you today for a Friday fast. After a lovely meal at some friends last night I feel I need it! Monmouth pudding was the best!

Nothing for me but black coffee, water and fruit tea until dinner time - not sure what that will be yet - see what I fancy later!

2nd fast week 5. Housework to distract too, food after 6 tonight.

First Friday for me, normally don't do it as like going to the Pub in the evening, but decided to give it a miss, as it meant 2 days in between fasts, which I much prefer/feel better after.
So housework is today's theme for distraction then!
To make it more interesting I have challenged myself to clean the whole house without using any chemical products. I am armed with bircabonate of soda, white vinegar, lemons and microfibres cloths. So far I'm pretty impressed, my bath has never been so sparkly!
Good morning fellow fasters, gloomy weather and I think I'm fighting OH's flu bug so feeling grotty. Onward and upward. Pot of chai to start the fast day as usual, steamed haddock and stir fry at 6.30 tonight. Good luck everyone.
Good morning everyone. What a brilliant site. I have been doing this plan for 2 weeks now and am loving it. Only just come across this board. Everyone seems really helpful. I am fasting also today and really looking forward to it, as I had a bit of a binge last night. Good luck to all other Friday fasters. Just quick question. Not sure whether to have porridge for lunch (as I am having soup for dinner), or should I leave it and have something later on. I am just worried if I have it, it may make me hungrier. Thanks in advance Sue:)xxx
I'm doing "fast Friday" too. Doing an extra days fast this week as I am going to have a lot of bad foods this weekend. Lunch out tomorrow, big Sunday Mother's Day dinner and maybe a glass of wine or two! :oops:

If it were me me Sue, I wouldn't have porridge at lunch time. It is high carb so is likely to give you a blood sugar spike which is usually followed by a crash a couple of hours later. This could make it much harder to go until dinner. Having said that we are all different and it's whatever works for you, I just know that porridge at lunch would make me ravenous all afternoon!
Got to work today and found I'd left my water bottle at home, so I bought what seemed to be a bottle of water "with a twist of lemon and lime" from the vending machine. It's full of horrid artificial flavours and sweeteners. Blech! Once I get through it I'll be refilling with normal water.
Hi Jupiter. Thanks for the reply. I agree with you. I am going to leave it and save the cals for my evening meal. I have done a few fasting days and have not eaten until dinner so I should maybe stick to that.xxx
I really admire all you Friday fasters - such a tough day to do it. So just to say best wishes and stick it out. I did yesterday (my 6th) and feel great today....so worth it :)
