Hello all,

I'm in the fasting club today, too. Second fast of the week (last was Monday) and considering a part-fast on Friday (skip breakast and lunch) as I have a lot of social stuff coming up over the next 4 days. This is my second week.

Not finding fast days too hard so far; however this morning the first thought in my head as I woke was 'I fancy a nice bowl of cereal' and I was crestfallen when I remembered it's a fast day!

Still, I got myself up and out to the gym for a cardio session and since then have been fine. Occupying myself with work (and popping in here, obviously!) Have had three cups of black coffee and over a litre of water so far.

Planning a carton of soup around 2/3pm and another for dinner around 8pm.
Hello Wednesday Fasters,

Fast number 14 for me, I am skipping next week, as I can't see it fitting in with a Ski holiday, on half board in a hotel with nice food!

I must say I am less up for it than for any of my previous fasts as I have a cold and had a late night last night, but will stay strong as next week will be a stodgy week of Rosti and Gluwin.

Roll on dinner time
On the plus side to SianS 1 hour of skiing will easily burn 320-500kcals not too shabby if kept up over a week!
Hi everyone,

I'm fasting today - its going ok so far. I am waiting until 5pm ish before eating as that seems to work better for me. Do feel a bit hungry at the moment though.
I am waiting for some fancy new scales to arrive so I can monitor my weight loss in lots of different ways - I hope!
Well this morning is going well....not too hungry and just munching on the raw veg at the moment... ;-)
Today is my second fast day this week also.
I've just taken my dog out for a brisk walk for an hour and felt really quite hungry when i got home so I tucked into a Babybel light and 5 cherry tomatoes (50 cals) and ate them really slowly !! followed by a black coffee. It did the trick and took those hunger pangs away, I shall be ok till this evening now.
Does anyone experience sudden massive energy boosts at all, I'm finding I'm having them on fasting days, even after a busy shift at work I come home and start doing housework like theres no tomorrow, why is this??? :?: :?:
Have a good one everyone x
My 13th fast today (and second of this week). Have to work ina pub surrounded by crisps (one of my favourite snacks) later and I find that hard but I just think 'I can have them tomorrow if I want' and that gets me through.. That and a lot of water.

I have definitely learnt that for me breakfast is out of the question on fast days because as soon as I eat I just want more. I find it easier to look forward to a meal later in the day.

Happy fasting, everyone.
My second fast day of the week today like a lot of us. I'm about 8 weeks into this now, doing 4:3 at the moment.

Change in my routine meant no breakfast today, instead I had part of my breakfast with my lunch and will have part with my dinner. So far I've exercised (30 day shred level 2) and just had 3 rice cakes topped with a yummy mix of tinned white crab meat, cucumber, fresh red chilli and hellmans extra light mayo (total 137cals including the rice cakes) and an alpen light bar (70cals) and am enjoying an apple and ginger herbal tea.

Biggest thing for me today is I've just had my contraceptive implant changed this morning so can't do my usual work out for the next week, can only do lower body - this is going to mean an upheaval in my routine to get to the gym before work to use the treadmills, oh well change is as good as a rest I suppose.
My 2nd fast of the week too. I normally fast Monday and Thursday but am out at a quiz night tomorrow night with promises of fish and chips, so I thought I'd better do it today instead.

Good luck everyone! :)
Thanks Morewinedear
You may be overestimating my skiing ability, and underestimating my Rosti and beer consumption !
Fasting today. Lunch has been hard, despite going for a long walk. I'm doing my team's end of year reviews at the moment - not the most enjoyable thing in the world to say the least. I would usually de-stress with a coffee and a cake. Not today though!

I was very happy this morning as my weekly weigh-in on the Progress Tracker showed that I'd lost three pounds overall, despite shooting up four pounds over the weekend (family visit, lots of lovely food). I think this backs up my theory that most of the weight was food and water in my digestive tract.

Roll on dinner time...
I'm on my 2nd fast of the week, as well. Dropped my boys off at school and took a quick 30 min walk. Now I've got to plan my food for the day. I will wait to eat until mid afternoon. I have a hard time making my guys post-nap snacks and not having a bite myself. Then we'll have dinner together and I'll wrap up for today. Hope everybody's day is going well!
Im fasting today,on my 2nd week and my 3rd fast, Im having a cooking day today, Ive made a gorgeous celery & courgette soup, and making Glamorgan sausages for tomorrows dinner, also a lovely soup we had in a restaurant mon night,= butterbean potato and leek soup,
will have turkey and salad for dinner tonight. life is good!! so is 5.2 xxxxx
Hi All,
Second fast of my first week. I'm feeling fine however my daughter is hungry - I'm sure it's just the thought of food and not starvation (as she says). So in order to accommodate her we have three small meals a day but I am hoping as we get further into this she will be able to handle going a little longer between meals. So far I am loving this as we all know as hardened dieters we can all diet for one day and that's what this is it's just one day. Soooooooo happy to have found this
Just a quick question.
Do you weigh your lettuce?
I always count everything that goes in it i.e tomatoes, cucumber, celery etc but never sure about the lettuce.
Any thoughts?
