Hi all, I had to curtail my fast yesterday as I was feeling very unwell (nothing to do with this WOE). Back on it today though. I jumped on the scales this morning and the number was truly frightening so going to aim for three fast days this week.

Good luck to everyone else fasting today!
Fasting over in Oz, so about 2 hours away from dinner! Yay!
Had a pretty good day today so happy with that. I am also throwing in a 3 day week Esmeralda to see what happens, did Monday and will do Friday too.
Good luck with the rest of your week!
Fasting as well today. Why does the second fast of the week always seem more difficult? Keep at it Esmeralda. Have a good day fellow fasters.
I'm in today. Monday's went well, and I'm back to work today, so that'll keep me busy. And husband has a business trip today so he's not back home till late tonight so I can eat by myself (chicken breast, leeks, sweded, mushrooms, made into a sort of cock-a-leekie broth).

My biggest downfall is alcohol, so I'm quite glad that over the coming week I have a few evening events to go to, which means I will drive and not drink.

Thursday - Scottish Dance dinner - Ok it's a meal, but will be followed by dancing
Sunday - seeing the Hairy Bikers on tour! Hoping to pick up a signed copy of the Hairy Dieters book.
Monday - Scottish dance class
Tuesday - dog training
Gaily reading about who's fasting today and forgot I AM TOO! Haven't blown it or anything, just kind of slipped my mind. Coffee in, going to get water and keep going. Off to stay away and work for the next 5 days and will try and get another fast in if I can to make three this week, but it might not happen that way. We'll see.
Good luck to all fasting (or nearly finished ) today
ps Melanie - would love a Scottish Dance dinner- enjoy.
Hello fellow fasters,

I'm fasting today too - ok so far, I haven't woken up hungry so that is a good start. :like:

Hope it goes well for you all :clover:
Day 2 for me, feel mildly excited! Keeping busy. Way to go!
I'm in! Unfortunately had a glass of red wine too many last night and feeling a little heady - something breakfast would sort out normally, silly silly me. But we had fun.

Reading about fizzy cola yesterday (on the forum here somewhere, can't remember where) made me think I should probably stay off that too....boohoo. Keeps me going at times, but I'll try really cold fizzy water with a slice of lemon and lime instead.

Sunny first thing and now really grey again which is a bore, but I will take the dogs for a good walk later.

Melanie, thanks for the tip of the cock-a-leaky type broth, I'll file that one for a later date (have tuna, tom and pasta "soup" for later).
Yep I'm onboard today

I was supposed to be fasting yesterday but I just couldn't do it, think it might have been after the Easter weekend of lunches out & coffees & cakes

So to get my two in this week I'm wondering if I should to today & tomorrow (never done back-to-back ones) as I find it really difficult to do on my day off on Fridays :?:

Have a good day everyone :clover:
Great to see everyone so positive, it really boosted my zeal for today. Second fast this week and will do Friday as well. had gotten into a good grove of Monday, Wednesday, Friday up to Easter but fell well off the wagon last week. Did a big wardrobe clear out at the weekend and found myself looking at clothes two sizes too big for me thinking " I should keep that incase I need it again" madness as for the first time ever with a diet (and believe me I have done them all) I was able to get right back on track on Monday. It made me think how willing I am to believe in fails, like a plateau on the scales and how little credit I give myself for the losses I have achieved. The big clothes were ruthlessly dropped off at the charity shop before work yesterday though, so I think my head is moving in the right direction. Good luck today everyone
Well done Red! I've been doing the same, just keeping some big knitted jumpers (frankly with the cold and the moment, the bigger the better!) and a couple of floaty numbers I really like that I'll see what they look like come summer. And I keep having to make new holes in my belt, though to be fair that's partly as it's stretching - cheap placky one. But it still feels good!
After consuming a whole easter egg yesterday, I am on a fasting day today, tempted to even try 4:3 this week coz I had such an indulgent weekend, fasted monday and then went back to indugence yesterday...
I seem to have a mentality of needing to eat the unhealthy food in my house quickly so it's not there anymore...

Anyways, I seem to be managing these fasts better and better each fast day, it's like I've got used to the feeling of being hungry and know that it will pass and won't kill me.
Hello all, best of luck today.
I had two totally unplanned fast days on Sunday and Monday as I was taken unawares by a tummy bug. I couldn't even look at food so although I didn't count calories, I know I was under my 500 cals usual on a fast day.
I think I'm back to normal and I tried to eat as normal yesterday (went a bit mad in the evening and ate some of the easter egg I couldn't touch on Sunday!). I know I might be ok eating normally for the rest of the week but because I feel well having eaten yesterday (and also I must admit because I am going on holiday next week), I think I will go ahead with today's planned fast. I won't do two this week as I can't fit it in so I hope I won't be doing any harm to my recovery. :?:
I understand many people say not to fast while ill or recovering but as tummy bugs generally are not improved by eating I reckon it should be fine...I'm still taking in plenty of water. There's my big spiel over with, hope everyone has a good day :clover:
Me too. In-laws have been visiting but don't want to see us today and have suggested a meal out tomorrow so that'll fit in. Was all confused when they were trying to make plans so was told off for looking puzzled.

Had a smear this morning (sorry, TMI) so took the opportunity to jump on the doctor's scales and it was 87kg so pleased as that agrees with the home ones. Had all day brekkie yesterday and chocolate last night as making an attempt to eat more on non-fast days. Got a bit too used to the not eating!

Nurse was laughing as she said I was the first person she'd not had to translate the kgs into stones for, told her I was now happy with both as use kg (smaller increments) for the progress tracker and then swap it to lbs to see what I've really lost!
Hello!
This is 3rd fast day & 1st this week (didn't quite manage it on Monday with a party and no work, think I was a bit ambitious attempting it)!
I'm trying to eat nothing until later in the day today - I have a stir fry meal planned which will probably be most of my 500 calories!! I've read a few people find it easier not to start eating until later in the day so I fancied giving it a try. Have brough an apple and some low fat natural yogurt just in case I can't wait until then.
Definitely finding it easier being at work today. I'm liking reading about you ditching the bigger clothes Red, hoping I start down that route myself fairly quickly :)
What has everyone got planned for their meals today? I am always after ideas :)
