Good luck, everyone!

It's my 3rd fasting day today (well technically 4th because of an impromptu fast on Sunday) and I have so much work to do I'm hoping I won't even begin to feel hungry until dinner. It's my first weigh in tomorrow so my fingers are crossed!
Count me in too :) Gorgeous day here, which I'm sure helps.
I'm planning to get as far through the day as I can with no calories, then a big dinner of Waitrose Love Life Lasagne and salad.

Tricky day for me today - I've definitely gone a little over for the day althoug should still be under 600. I need a somewhat decent (usually 300 cal) meal in the evening so I can sleep (and also as a kind of mini-treat to look forward to), so I tend to skip breakfast but for a black coffee, have a <200 cal lunch as late as possible and then enjoy something reasonably tasty and filling in the evening. Unfortunately I had to take an oral steroid (with food) this morning, so I ate 100 cal of muesli bar with it, which kind of threw me off for the rest of the day. Cut my dinner down to 250 cals (slow roasted roasted broccoli, tomato, zucchini, and chickpeas with moroccan spice and a tsp of olive oil, a big spoonful of no-fat natural yogurt and a little processed chicken). It was as low as I could go! I grant myself a minor exemption for the day!
I'm fasting today. It's just hit 11.30am and I've only had coffee and one cup of bovril so far but seem to be hungrier than usual at this time. Only an hour and a half to last til lunch though.

Have tuna salad for lunch and a bacon and poached egg salad with new potatoes planned for dinner to match the lovely weather today.
I'm in today, while at work. Will do 1/2 cup cereal with low fat milk, small fruit medley of grapefruit, melon and blackberries then some kind of high protein this evening. Good luck fellow fasters !
I am fasting today , my day is nearly over . Very hungry today. I feel like my fasting days I spend all the day thinking of what I can eat tomorrow. Not feeling the best today, fighting a cold. I thought it would be quite easy feeling not quite so well but I am tired an hungry as I think about retiring soon for bed. I had my usual milk in my coffee's and boiled up a left over chicken and had some noodles in the broth for dinner and I had an apple just before.I have had about 400 instead of 500 but am not sure if or what to have so close to bedtime.
Tuesdays and Thursdays for me. Black tea and water until dinner tonight. Another Hairy Dieters meal of chilli with 50g rice. Looking forward to it. :smile:
Fast day for me, only just sat down for my first meal, so I've done well, not feeling too bad.
Fasting today,3rd fast,will be fasting again on Thursday - Good luck everybody.
Just had a 40 cal salad bowl from co-op with a can of tuna (130 cals) and a bit of balsamic. Amazing how filling it is, should give me around 400 cals to play with for tonight too.
After abandoning yesterday's fast - I came home to my OH cooking toast just at my hungriest point yesterday afternoon and caved in - I am fasting more successfully today.

Have survived the morning just on coffee and water and just had a cuppa soup for lunch. Dinner will be eggs and something I think.

I'm in today for my first Tuesday fast. My usual Monday was disrupted by a dear friend's relationship ending, and choosing to have lunch with her.

I usually do 4:3 with MWF as fast days. Monday's gone. Friday will be major surgery for my mom, and I'll be at the hospital all day with my dad, so no fasting then, either. Also, last week was a food nightmare for me--I just felt so out of control, and didn't succeed for a single true fast day. So, I'm trying my first back-to-back-to-back fast this week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We'll see how it goes.

Lots of black tea and water for me so far. My husband is keeping himself busy, although he has just had a bowl of soup because he was hungry.

Wow, Swuddly, you're really setting the bar high for yourself aren't you?! Good luck, I hope it works out for you this week.

rachelB1968, I should have been fasting yesterday, too, but after an horrific week of feeling dreadful and then discovering yesterday that I had had an allergic reaction to the prescribed antibiotics, I felt that a fast yesterday was quite out of the question! I stopped the antibiotics yesterday, on the doctor's advice, and already feel so much better.

On the plus side, at least I lost 4lb, although I have to remember that once I start eating again, most of that will go back on! It does feel good though to have my target weight in my sights, even briefly!

This morning I intended to do my 5th fast today, but for the first time didn't have anything to eat at breakfast time and was doing OK until mid afternoon (I had a cheese salad for lunch) when it all went downhill and I have eaten just over 700 calories. I will have a proper meal this evening and then fast tomorrow - making sure I have my usual breakfast of porage made with water!
I've just started the 5/2 ... and made today a fast... might as well get started. Why wait? Actually, I've fasted before, intermittently and it wasn't all that hard, so I think I can do this more "controlled program". Friday will be my next fast.

today, I began the day with some black coffee, then a 45 minute walk. After getting home my first meal, at 10am, was 200 cal, with half a piece of wholegrain [dry] toast, I boiled egg, one small slice smoked salmon and half a grapefruit. I'll have a salad with lots of greens and veg and a couple oz. of grilled skinless chicken breast this evening.
