I'm in, second day in a row, third if you count my half fast on Monday. So far so good, it's Lent here anyway so I'm not eating much.
Tomorrow is pre-cooking and baking all day (preparations for Easter Saturday and Sunday) and dinner out so I am considering to fast (or half fast) on Friday as well. It's all eating, eating, eating for 3 days so I have to be prepared.
I am fasting today, did a spin class this morning. Trying not to eat till dinner tonight which I am going to find hard I think as I am hungry already! I am planning a fast day tomorrow as well as its the only other day I can fit in. Though we are having a lunch buffet at work tomorrow as someone is leaving on maternity leave. I am going to find that hard. Any tips?!
Just realised I'm fasting today!
Had a dip there which is a first and not quite sure why (35th fast) , a bit light headed and getting the beginings of eye stab which is migraine for me. Not good. Will have paracetamol and another big drink of water...
hopefully will all pass and then I'll make biryani for the non fasters in the house and have my usual poached eggs
In for repair today with you all ! Snowing here in Colorado :). What a nice winter we are having this spring :). Good luck everybody !
Today is my 2nd fast day and iv already lost 2.2 pounds! So pleased to have made a start on my weight loss challenge!
So it's noon on my first fast day and everyone in my office is enjoying a nice lebanese takeaway. I decided not to do my usual workout this morning as I don't want anything to knock me off my first fast. My tummy was just growling - but I had a coffee and it's stopped now. I've got meetings all afternoon so hopefully I can push through. good luck everyone.
I'm fasting today instead of tomorrow. This is my 9th week and i'm a bit fed up to be honest. No particular reason , i just woke up in a low mood. I've just been to pilates and the sun is shining so no good reason. I've lost 7lbs which I am very pleased with but scales have been moving around the same 2 lbs for the last 3 weeks. I have invested in some new scales but I'm not any lighter! I not going to give up just having a bad day. Roll on dinner time.
Fasting today and the day is going so slowly!! Struggled a bit this week (week 11) after a week off last week for holiday (no weight gained though, yaay!) so looking forward to getting this fast out of the way! Hoping I feel back on track next week! Lost 10lbs so far though so really pleased :)
I'm fasting today too! This is my 3rd week of the Fast Diet and I've lost 5 pounds so far, which I'm thrilled about, although I lost 4 pounds the first week and only 1 pound the second week. Was secretely hoping I might have lost a couple of pounds week 2! Still, I know gradual weight loss is better for you and if I lost a pound every week, I'd be at my target weight in no time

I'm feeling really hungry today and not as motivated as Monday, just having one of those days, I think. I've just made a black decaff coffee to keep me going to lunchtime. I always skip breakfast and have a small lunch and a small dinner followed by a low fat yogurt in the evening.

For lunch today, I'm having a small bowl of Glorious Skinny Chicken Minestrone Soup, a slice of ryvita, a boiled egg and a couple of cherry tomatoes. Dinner will be a small griddled salmon fillet with fresh green vegetables - asparagus, sugar snap peas. Cannot. wait.
Dominic, thanks for the info. You're right, best to put the fat burn out of my mind & focus on the changes taking place. I've heard about athletes being able to call on their stores for endurance, it's interesting ~ I'll look that up. I guess I do need time for adaptation.
Made it till dinner 7:30. Went food shopping, didn't buy a snack, even cooked dinner for 4, smelled yummy but held on & served myself last. Had vegetable/bean soup I'd prepared in advance & poached chicken. Thought the protein would keep hunger at bay. HOWEVER ... I really want more! If anything I'm hungrier. Going for an evening stroll, without my purse, so I can't buy anything
I'm in this my second fast this week.
This is my second attempt at fasting. I tried Monday last week and it made me really poorly. I had a bad headache and was sick :(.

After doing some research I think it was a migraine caused by low blood sugar. I've never had one before but then again I've never tried to survive off 500 calories before!

I'm trying today but going for 700-800 calories instead and hoping I'm ok on that. Quite scared of the return of the migraine though.... it was horrible!
Hey,

I started last week Thursday and have already lost 5 lb. So HAPPY :D

I'm fasting today and am eager to have breakfast tomorrow !!!

Good luck to everyone !!!
I'm fasting today as well - good to see not everyone finds it easy - I'm still struggling a bit (this is my 4th fast but second on the forum). I've made some spicy tomato soup to have mid-afternoon and am having chicken salad for dinner but I want something sweet now! I won't have it though as it's my sweet tooth that has been my downfall for the past umpteen years :shame: I wish there were a dairy free hot chocolate drink - anyone know of one? Low calorie, of course!

Good luck everyone.
Good luck Stop Now! Hang on in there. If you get busy the craving will pass. I have made it to the end of my first fast day. It became hard for me after I ate my 1 meal of the day ~ dinner. I'm headed to bed now, not feeling hungry at the moment ~ funny how it comes and goes. This wasn't a breeze, but it wasn't bad either & from what I'm learning here, it gets easier & your body adjusts to it. I like that.
Reading these posts encouraged me throughout my first fasting day. I'm definitely not alone.
