Help!!!
I'm a newby and just started my fast today!
Any words of support would be most welcome as I'm starving!!!!
Had no breakfast and a soup for lunch, so looking forward to my chicken and roasted veg tonight!!!!
Trying not to think about it..........

I am on my 5th fast, but have not seen the scale drop yet. Keeping on going though and hoping to get results.

It gets easier as the days go on, found the last couple of fast days have been a lot easier than the first couple.
Fasting today after a "festive" weekend. Scales told me I put on 4.1 kilos since friday - oh my! But I had a 1.5 kilo loss last week and I guess todays weight gain will be gone in a week.
A large cup of soup and a chicken wing so far :-)
Chicken salad with lots of veggies for dinner to look forward to.
I didn't feel like breakfast. Went to the shops to buy something nice for lunch and popped in to see a friend. Now it's so late that I feel as may as well turn this into a fast day!
I'm freezing today. Just having to have another cuppa soup to try and warm up.
Fasting today and going to try waiting until dinner to eat all 500 calories. We'll see if I can make it! Bring on the green tea!
Seems to be getting easier each time.

5th fast for me today, have survived on water, a black coffee, a cup a soup and a fruit tea up until now. Have barely thought about food at all. Sat in front of a plateful of cupcakes at work without even being tempted in the slightest.

Dinner is now cooking - butternut squash canneloni to have with salad, then I'll follow it up with a yoghurt and a hot chocolate before bed. Delightful!

It is my first fast today and so far so good.

I wasn't going to tell anyone about 5:2 but the first person I saw I blabbed to and she said she's recently lost 7lbs doing it - and promptly held the waistband of her trousers away from her waist to prove it - so that's good enough for me!

Keep up the good work! It does get easier in my opinion. Be sure to drink beverages you enjoy (of the no calorie variety to be sure). I go for teas, strong black italian roast, kombucha--may be disgusting to you if you're not into health fads like me--and water. It's roasting outside today in southern Cal...still morning but too hot. Will not be freezing as some of the other fasters have noted! Remember, it's only for one day...you can do it! :like:
No longer have time to read all the Fasting Today posts...by the time the sun nearly completes its circuit of the globe and it is time to post here the board is filled.
I'm focusing on drinking more today since it is so blasted hot--and so early in the season--would love to surf but the workaday world calls. Cheers!
Fasted today and I have just had the puy lentil salad from the cookbook, very tasty!
Back on the fasting wagon now! :)
Not been very hungry today. Steak and salad for my meal this evening but have only eaten half. Saving the rest for tomorrow's lunch.
Fasting and can't stop craving something sweet today. Hubby got me a mocha cake for Mother's Day yesterday and I really want some! Luckily I knew this would happen and put it in the freezer last night. lol Eating sweets the day before a fast makes me crave them so much more on fast days! Anyone else find this?
Last week my birthday fell on my usual Weds fast and I couldn't fit in another day, so just did last Mon i.e. 6:1. Glad to be back to the regime after lots of food & booze lately - time for some repair! Really love this way of guilt free eating! I'm still looking & feeling good - not put on any extra weight at all during my 'mini break' :smile:
Today was my first unsuccessful fast :cry: my body was just not having it today TMI in spoiler
WARNING: TOO MUCH INFORMATION!
I had to take strong painkillers at 1pm and couldn't take them without eating or they make me feel massively sick and dizzy. Once I'd sarted eating it was game over. :frown:

I'm going to try to be nice to myself, not beat myself up too much and just do my next fast on Thursday as normal. :frown:
