I'm in today too.
2nd fast this week.
Bought a tuna and prawn salad in ikea yesterday, so that going to be my dinner.
I still haven't tried any of the hairy bikers recipes yet although I long to.
Maybe get my husband to cook something for Sunday when I'm planning another fast day....unless something gets in the way!
Good luck everyone. Cheers!
I'm in. Already had my low cal soup for dinner so it's smooth sailing from here!
I actually find I can cook quite happily on a fast day. Never thought I would but I think its the fact that it keeps me busy and distracted.

This is my 3rd fast this week and its hard work. I don't usually struggle but I decided to go for 4:3 to try and boost my weight loss and avoid the need to cut back too much on feed days. I woke up really hungry though. I've told myself that I will hang on until around 2pm and then, if need be I will convert to a 16/8 day. Often I do that and by 2pm I get going on something and forget food. I think the thought that all isn't lost if I cave in helps. The joy of a flexible plan!
Fasting today and a bit low :(

Several things are going on right now - I've been at this for a while (since end March) and not really getting anywhere. Figured I was doing it wrong so started to count cals on feed days and add in exercise last week. This morning I'd lost inches but gained weight!

I'm not really settled in this new regime yet so I know I shouldn't expect results so soon, but feeling a bit tired and demotivated today. And HUNGRY!

I'm usually okay but today I'm only doing a 24 hour fast (going out to dinner tonight), am working from home but am struggling to a) not raid the kitchen cupboards b) get anything done! I think it's a mix of the above, plus I had to take a hefty antihistamine (originally typed 'antidepressant', oh dear) last night so might be a bit dopey from that, plus I have pre-lady-grumpiness if you know what I mean.

Sorry for the unpunctuated rant - just needed to let off steam! I'll get through the day as best I can then relax with some wine tonight, I think, and draw a line under today. Urgh.
Yes, today is my 30th fast. I baked a berry and white chocolate cheesecake for tomorrow night and I did behave while I was baking :victory:

Good luck fasters.
Oh no. I just looked at the lovely tuna and prawn salad from ikea that I was planning for dinner tonight and all the lettuce at the bottom is mushy!
I can't be bothered going out to buy anything.
I think I'll just salvage the tuna, prawns and egg from the top....
Hope your day is going ok. Not long now till dinner time.
Oh noooooooooooo!!! what a shame Bellalou :(
Well we got through the food shopping around lunchtime today & resisted the wonderful aroma of coffee in Waterstones with their delicious filled bagels. However I am rumbling fit to bust but trying to keep going until supper time which will be an M&S fuller longer meal & then the weekend to look forward to. We have friends coming to lunch so a Spanish style tapas range of starters & spicy tomatoey chicken, vegetables with beans & patatas bravas with baked butterscotch pears & lemon tart to follow. A fast day is not the best one to plan menus but it is nearing evening now!
Hope the day went well for fellow fasters.
I'm fasting today. Have made a banana and chocolate chip loaf for the weekend and I did have a cheeky lick of the spoon. ;-). Last Friday I fasted as well and was decorating 96 cupcakes and a giant cupcake for a civil partnership the following day. Had one lick of the buttercream to see if was ok and that was it!

Can't wait until 6pm, I'm so hungry!
I'm fasting today and going back to the 36 hr fasts that I started with. The last couple of weeks have only been 24 hr fasts because my resolve slipped at the end of the day, and I thought I was still sticking to the basis of the 5:2 plan. I suits me better not to eat at all on fast days. I think it was said on the men only post (yes of course I've been reading it!) that it's completely on or completely off. This idea definitely seems to suit me best. No halfway house.
Well, I gave in and had a cup of bouillon and a boiled egg at 2pm as I just couldn't make my brain work. It worked wonders and was worth those few calories off my overall total as I got loads of jobs done and it was time for my planned curry in no time. I know that I can cope with just hot drinks now and then I have my 2 naughty days to look forward to. Phew!
I'm fasting too!
I have 150 calories left and will transform them into a small lettuce salad when the rumblings from my stomach become so loud that I won't be able to hear the telly.
I've made it. Just had two slim a soups today. Nearly bed time, which will bring me nicely to breakfast, 36 hours after my last meal. Yes!
This is my 6th fast day and I have to admit I am REALLY struggling. I think it might be hormone related with TOM. I look foreword to my FD's and they're normally a breeze! But today has been hell. I'm grouchy, tired and foggy headed. Currently doing 4:3.
I've eaten my cals for the day between banana, porridge, haddock and large salad with very lightly stir fried mushrooms and red peppers with garlic, lemon and ginger. I wont go to bed until about midnight because I have to do stuff tonight. I just want to suck on a piece of dark chocolate :(
Curled up in bed now at, almost the end of another fast day. I do three meals a day, so had strawberries, a 60cal yogurt and a weetabix for breakfast, then a weightwatchers 51cal soup and a couple of rice cakes for luch, and a couple of vegetarian meat balls with some leeks sauteed with frylight and mixed with reduced fat cream cheese for dinner.

Looking forward to a non-fasting day tomorrow, going out for dinner with a new friend who is desperate to lose weight but not sure she will be able to do 5:2. Am hoping that seeing me tuck into whatever I want, whilst celebrating losing 3st in just over a year will motivate her into joining me.
