Feeling very proud of myself for resisting the free lunch laid on for us today...going to distract myself with studying for a couple of hours to tide me over until dinner time!
I'm in! Monday was a holiday and I splurged calorie-wise with some goodies that my husband and I bought over the weekend. It was so tasty! I don't regret it at all. Skipped breakfast. I thought this fast would be hard with all the indulging I did this weekend, but I think my body was ready and waiting for it. Hoping the rest of the day goes as well.

My original plan was to skip my Monday fast and keep to my usual fast schedule of Wed. and a 24hour fast on Friday. My body is saying it still wants 3 fasts this week. Who am I to say no? :)
I'm fasting today too first fast that ive made it through the whole day without anything at lunch so just had an early dinner of a slice of quiche with a big bowl full of salad for my 500cal, now I'm feeling really over full...can't believe I've managed to overindulge on salad!
Fasting today, this is my second week in. Normally I am a Monday faster, but bank holiday and all.

Got the salmon in the oven, need to get the veg on.

What are your favourite recipes?
Fasting today, switched from Monday as it's easier to fast at work.

Except maybe today when somebody has made the office smell like bacon. Seriously now, was that really necessary...?!?!

But I will be strong...

I did it, I did it, I did it! Done 30 day shred too.

Thanks for all your words of support. Only Thursday to do now - I might go into work rather than go through another day like this

Well done for getting through the day Effie!

I prefer to fast at home so try and fit my working from home days with my fast days. Too much temptation when I am in the office or out and about!

Mind you I am usually at home on my own so no one else to temp me or to eat in front of me either!

Good luck for Thursday!
Another day done!!!! I have managed to stick to liquids today. I just hope I can sleep!!

Oh I fast at home all the time. Hubby says he doesn't know how I do it. My secret is napping. Oh it's terrible. yes, I take a nap to avoid lunch time and eating habit.
I swapped from Monday too, 9th fast today.
It's gone ok, but since checking my TDEE I have even fewer calories to play with.
I find if I have breakfast I get hungry again much too early, so unless I'm starving I wait as long as I can and then have lunch, whatever time it is.
Today had to waste some cals as had run out of the 20-cal crispbreads, but still. Had a large egg, hard-boiled and mashed with very low fat mayo, something I wouldn't normally use but it does help a lot! Spread it over 3 crispbreads so it felt like more.
Dinner was a big stir-fry; loads of lovely veg, a small amount of beef, and the magic noodles.
Doing another Thursday which will seem very quick!

I work from home, so fast at home. I don't eat though. At first I just moved all my calories to dinner, but now I liquid fast. This means I am just Not Eating, so I don't. I don't think about food, and it's just not an option. And if it all gets too hard, I go for a nice long brisk hilly walk.

I think I would battle if I ate at all during the day, not just because it would flick my hunger switch, but also because then I would have to decide what to eat, how much, could I get away with this etc etc.

I do see to wind up with a lot of recipes open in browser tabs though....

Hi Effie,

Well done! I reckon the best idea is to put off eating until as late as poss in the day as early eating just 'opens the door'.

I plan what I'm going to do carefully during the days at home as a busy mind doesn't get into those food thinking traps.

Good luck with future fasts x

I work from home also, so fast at home. Just me and the dog. So far, it's been torturous. :)

Oh I know this only too well!!
Next time spare a thought for me, working from home as a pastry chef...

Two weeks ago on my fast day I was in the kitchen for 10 hours baking my delicious pastries, tarts and quiches! How I didn't give in I'll never know, no food has ever smelled soooo good LOL!
I also struggle during school holidays when feeding the kids, today they're on half term and I'm fasting and lunch time was a nightmare so I popped out of the room to do my hair as they ate. Not sure how I'll cope twice a week over the long 6 week summer holiday though!
Moved my fast day to today and so glad I did! I wish they were ALL LIKE THIS!! Busy at work and hardly thought about food. Looking forward to 2 things: (1) eating pizza and a glass of wine tomorrow; and (2) hopefully having another great fast Thursday!
