Fasting today Tuesday May 28th

Well here we go again - in my 12th week now of mostly 4:3. I have had a week of eating rubbish - some mental affliction of being near goal weight, fasting a lot and thinking I can eat all of that food that I had long since stopped eating, but hey 'I can eat what I like on feed days' mentality taking me over. But I don't feel dragged down by it - in fact I feel so gluggy from wrong food that (after finishing the chocolate I bought, last night) I am really feeling like cleaning my body out. Have a big 50th birthday bash on Saturday night, so it will not be a perfect week, but I think that should push me further to eating healthily....something I love. I am feeling like I have got the crap food thing out of my system...well here's hoping :oops:

Have had coffee with a bit o milk so far and although I have packed a mini protein bar (open in case of emergency ;>) I plan not to eat till dinner of curried veg/lentil/chickpeas. I ave managed this lately, tho in the early days I found it too hard. Anyway good fasting to all of you joining me today.
I fasted yesterday but hubby is doing today after a week away fishing with the boys. That means he has a lot of beer and red wine to fast off.

I also ate alot of crap and drank a few too many on the weekend....

skipping 'breakfast' today, have a fairly large salad with a small tin of tuna for lunch at 200 cals, salad and chicken breast for tea after my Zumba class.

This is only my second week, 3rd fast... i sneakily weighed this morning and i have put on... however its TTOM, and im probably bloated from the weekend indulgence so I will keep pushing on regardless - I dont really have any social engagements for the next month which will help, so head down bum up til then and not weighing again til the 28th June.

Hi everyone. I'm in today. Planning on making Marie2mil's cream of celery soup today. I think its 68 calories per bowl. Just search 'cream of celery soup' and it will come up. Have a great day. :-)
Well just scoffed my mini protein bar - had a touch of insomnia last night so I have been awake since 2am - why on a fast day??!! Makes it a long day, tho I'm quiet today so will be home early and will have my Nonna nap with the dogs b4 dragging them out for a walk. Dinner is thankfully cooked and ready to go. Although I think I should have put on weight this week (again) after all the crap I have eaten, my pants are so loose that I don't need to undo button or zip to take them down - so feel like I can't have put on. Deedeelicious I weigh after a fast, may seem like 'cheating' but since it is the same day every week (Friday) I figure that if at the goal weight I have to go a bit lower so I'm that weight after a feed day, so be it, but in the meantime I feel better seeing the lighter scales :>)

I'm in today, mostly fast on Monday but have my sister up from Melbourne and decided to go to the city for dinner last night and see the Vivid festival. So I actually did 16:8 unintentionally.
I made some vege soup from only carrot, beetroot, celery and ginger which makes it about 40 cals for a bowl so I've so far had 1/2 a serve of that along with water and coffee.
I did manage not to have the little biscuit with my coffee at the shops!
I don't like only having one day between fasts so hope I'll manage the Thursday fast this week.

I am doing my 11th fast today! 6 weeks in.Haven't eaten yet, but just about to have some soup for lunch. Then it will be salmon and veggies for dinner.
Hello all, I'm in today as I start 4:3 before my holidays to try and speed things up a bit. A quarter pound a week really isn't encouraging! 40 somethingth fast and it feels as though I'm staring all over again this week- really lethargic and bleugh. Last fast was Sunday and I find one day between fasts tough going. Here's hoping I get through it. As usual, nowt to eat until tea time. It's going to be a long day....

Hello all

Im planning of fasting today and tomorrow know, I was supposed to have been fasting yesterday (Bank Holiday)was doing really well until I had to cook lunch for the whole family including Parents and Brothers family so nearly 12 people. Did have lots of vegetables though and not a lot of potatoes but could not resist having a couple of glassess of wine with the meal sat in the back garden in the sun :oops: (Did the weather know it was a Bank Holiday weekend). As I said yesterday I have a busy Thursday so was not planning on Fasting on normal on Thursday so the only other days this week I could do are Tuesday and Wednesday as will be really busy days at work. (Love this way of life, you can correct any mess ups so easily)

I have planned both days really well, I think :bugeyes: using Myfitnesspal. Having breakfast which I dont normally have of Bran Flakes and Skimmed Milk with extra Bran comes in at 200 including Hot drinks (Coffee/Green Tea and Marigold) Lunch will be on the run with a Instant Miso Soup I am planning of staying at work till 6pm both nights and by the time I have driven an hour home and cooked tea (Grilled Quorn Cheese and Broccoli Escalope with Steammed Broccoli it will be 8pm then only an hour to bed time with a mug of 40cal WW Hot chocolate today should come in at 587Cal :shock:

Wednesday is planned the same but with a different Quorn Dish.

:like: Hi all I am fasting today as well. I have not done any fasting for 3 weeks and I am pleased to say I have not picked up any weight, very happy with that. It does feel like I am starting from scratch as I have a terrible headach, like my first fast. I can't believe I am saying this but I actually missed fasting. No more skipping, will do it every Tuesday and Thursday. Good luck to all today
I am fasting today. I usually fast on a Monday but I'm mixing it all up at the moment due to it being my daughter's birthday and mine within a week of each other. We went to a diner for her birthday treat yesterday and I drank a milkshake that was at least 500 cals on it's own (but worth every single sip). I think today is going to be difficult for me - so good luck everyone! :)
Another maintenance fast for me, skipping breakfast and having sensible evening meal - not sure about lunch at the moment because I weighed light this morning and don't want to lose any more...
Hi there everyone. Today is my third fast. I am going for a liquid fast because I feel so bloated. Had a ridiculously naughty weeekend and too much to drink. (a friend's bday party!!!) I am hoping that a liquid day will refocus me. I am going to be busy this morning so not too worried. Here goes and best of luck to everyone.
Hi all

Well I had a great long weekend - plenty of lazing in the garden (actually sunny for once) and lovely food (homemade pizza, crispy duck legs, ice cream, smoothies, cheese, chocolate) & booze (not too much but some every day). This was balanced a bit by a run yesterday and saturday and painting the dining room (using those paint pads really works the triceps!) Enjoyed all my food though - fairly calorific in parts but mainly homemade from wholesome ingredients and yummy!

So I'm fasting today, Friday and hopefully Sunday as my husband's away with work over the weekend. He's one of those irritating people who can lose weight without even thinking about it and finds it really hard to gain weight. He's 6'2" and weighs about 10 stone 9 at the mo - BMI 19 of pure lard-free muscle... oh well at least if we have kids there's a 50/50 chance they'll get his genes..

Would usually have no breakfast on a fast day but am v hungry this morning and have noticed that I can't focus if I'm too hungry so have had 80 cals worth of frozen blueberries & greek yogurt as breakfast. A banana for 'lunch' if I need it and then the stir fry chicken from the recipes in the fast diet book tonight should bring me up to my 500cals. Also drinking my coffee black today for the first time. Ok but just not the same.
I'm in for my regular Tuesday fast....soup's all heated up in my thermos ready for lunch and my coffee is in my other thermos for breakfast! I now know what people mean when they say they look forward to a fast...it's definitely needed after the weekend I've had.
Now off out into rain for my first day of my psychiatry placement!
