I am done. It is 9.34pm. It has been such a hard day. I didnt think I would get through so I am so chuffed not to have messed it up. Yeh!!! I hope everyone else has had a good day.
Have managed first fast for over 2 weeks (hols) but feeling extremely tired and lethargic   :dazed: let's hope for a good night's sleep (not always the case when i feel like this ... ) but already looking forward to breakfast ... :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:
I am usually a Thursday faster too but it was so cold on Thursday i just couldn't do it so fasted Friday instead. This way of eating is so flexible its great. Its Sat morning here now and I'm not hungry yet. Its amazing isn't it how the body responds? Have a great Queens Birthday weekend all of you kiwis.

Me too today instead of yesterday, I was away on business so couldn't really manage it. I wasn't looking forward to Friday fasting as it's usually our pig out evening, but I managed it even with doing a full food shop after work. We've got a friend coming to stay tomorrow for a couple of nights so it'll be full on eating/drinking till Tuesday so I had no choice but to do it today. Managed it well enough, I try and not eat a thing till dinner, apart from a coffee and loads of water. Dinner was a bit lazy really, I had a wholemeal muffin (Tesco 155 cals) a minute amount of spread and 2 slices of parma ham (60cals). Then I had a 100cal fruit/jelly pot, calculated the lot at around 350 cals so I was able to have something else when I got bored at around 9pm. I had a meringue nest (55 cals) with a muller light 100 cals and 6 strawberries. So I think that was about 500 cals give or a take a few. Off to bed soon so I can be up nice and early to blitz the house and prepare the extravaganza! Have a lovely weekend all. :)
Well done emsy44 - it's such a feeling of achievement when you make it through a hard fast day - hope you make it.
Silverdarling welcome back hope today's not been too hard.
My 2nd fast of the week was going well until a friend asked me to pop in on way home & she had food & chocolate doughnuts - the saboteur
She was mortified when she realised that it was a fast day so we compromised - had some Indian rice & we shared a doughnut. So probably over my 500cals but still under 800cals - that's life - it was worth it catching up with a friend.
Just a bit of a bummer it's the monthly weigh this weekend lol
- think I'll do what others said & weigh in Saturday & Sunday & post the lowest
I'd planned to have an options hot choc this evening but lost track of time and forgot to have it...I've only had about 410 calories today!
Silverdarling - forgot to say hope you had great holiday in Scotland
Thanks Scotty - had a great time, back to earth with a bump
Faye - the places I stayed on hol all had the 40 cal choc options sachets - unfortunately I never used them     (maybe now I might give them a try   )

Definitely give them a go, they're yummy! Although I don't blame you for not having them on holiday. I'm debating whether to try doing 5:2 while on holiday (fully inclusive in Tenerife for 2 weeks!!)
Faye - why don't you try the 16/8 thing while you're on holiday? You could eat normally, but just in an 8 hour window - ( see all the posts by ballerina and others... ) I think carorees was thinking of doing this at one point when she went on hols. Worth a go, might mean you maintain weight, but don't put any on
Friday's fast over and done. 271 calories, thanks to Zero Noodles. Off to bed to dream of what I'll eat tomorrow, LOL!
Blimey TML that's low, bet you are wasting away LOL! I too was dreaming of breakfast last night, but have woken up not feeling hungry (similar to lots of people on here after a fast day) so I might just stick it out until lunchtime, and do a 'ballerina' (unwitting 16:8er)

That's a good idea...would it be 16:8 every day though or just 2 days a weak instead of fasts? I think I'll go have a read of the 16:8 thread! Although realistically I think I'll probably just go crazy as always, but this time it'll be safe in the knowledge that I have a reliable way of losing it when I get back home again!
Silverdarling indeed I was wasting away but it wasn't because of the low calories it was definitely because of the very bad period that I still have. :-(
Aw hope things improve soon :clover:
