I've just received my 5:2 Fasting Diet Recipe book, so I'm all inspired. Today is the start of my 5 days off; I only work Wednesdays and Thursdays. So I had spinach, mushrooms, capsicums and poached egg for breakfast. I did miss the toast. And I've chosen the beetroot and apple soup for dinner tonight. I discovered miso soup in little plastic sleeves so I've started having them at lunch time and that eliminates the ravenous afternoon. Happy fasting Friday fasters.

4th fast and its definately getting easier, although i cannot wait for a nice big fat glass of wine tomorrow!!!
Don't usually fast on a Friday 'cos it's croissant day t work, but visitors have invoked the flexibility clause in 5:2 & I've had to change around.
Looking forward to feeling 'cleaner' soon
BTW I am 36 hour liquid fasting.

At work all day so no breakfast, lots of green tea and a slim-a-soup for lunch, then more soup for dinner it would seem! Has anyone got a recipe for a low cal carrot soup?

This morning I'm both very hungry and hungover but I really want to do the fast today as I hate missing fasting days. I normally fast on Mondays and Wednesdays/Thursdays but this has been an unusual week.

Good luck and well done you for fasting with a hangover. Just remember in a few hours it will all be over!!!!!
I am sort of fasting today - we are out for dinner for a friends birthday tonight so I plan to eat nothing until then and hopefully go for the healthiest option on the menu but will probably end up going for whatever I fancy!
Monthly weigh in for me on Sunday so will try and be good Saturday to but no way I can fast at a weekend!!
