I'm fasting today after putting myself on the outside of a rather nice veggie lasagne and some cheesy bread last night, it was too good to resist

....so today has become a fast day instead, this is one of the advantages of this WOE, fall off, get back up and start again next day :like:

Unfortunately I have hubby and two growing lads so dinner time is awful on a fast day. Sometimes I just take myself to another room!! Still only two hours to go and then it all actually feels like a great achievement!
I'm in too. First time trying it at work. I am a teaching assistant at a secondary school currently trying to keep a mixed bag of 5 boys on the right track in education. I was so busy today I hardly had time to think about food. Was interesting to find that I did have a clear head all day and felt more energetic than usual. Kept my mood on an even keel despite being "stretched" by a difficult child. Had my choccky in the boot of my car just in case!!!!! just cooked a tasty bean Chilli and had loads of peppery green salad leaves to munch on. feeling full now.
A good day today & I fasted very well on water, coffee with a splash of milk & a cup of Bovril for lunch. Just had supper & decided after reading the Fast Diet Recipe Book to try & eat a wider range of colourful veg & fruit. So a mixed green salad, grated carrot, yellow pepper & a tomato to start, then M&S Fuller longer beef bourguignon with kale, mushrooms & a little mashed potato followed by a small bowl of blueberries. All for 470 calories so I also feel very virtuous & pleased with myself. My OH fasted yesterday so today in addition to a similar supper tucked into a couple of beers & chocolate profiteroles with probably more fruit & nuts to follow.
Hope all fellow fasters had a good day.
I felt fine all through my day at work, but then got a bit stressed about something, and am now fighting a huge urge to binge on sweet stuff :(. I came home and cooked the planned veggie omelette straight away, rather than waiting 'til nearer bedtime. So I haven't eaten anything naughty yet, but I now have at least 2 hours to go until bed, and I really really want cake :( Or bread, or chocolate. Don't know if I can resist...

Why not go to bed early?

I usually do on a fast day, but not at 8pm
Yummy Prawn salad for dinner, and about 100 cals to spare.

Anyone else noticed that the Forum clock is wrong? Its currently nearly 8pm for me
Heucherella do you have a hot chocolate drink you could have to fulfil your sweet need?
Hi, just registered on this site, this is my third fast, evening is the worst and ive also got a headache tonight. Im desparately trying not to go to the snack cupboard. I think its off to bed with me soon!
not bad for a first day today, probably at 550 calories though. Banana for breakfast, raspberry jelly for lunch, a huge garden salad with salmon and a slice of wholemeal bread for tea.

Not too shabby!
Tried to fast today but failed slightly. Ate about 750-800 calories so its not too bad. Been very stressed this week as moving houses, so have been dealing with the nightmare of packing!! Hopefully will get back on track next week :)
