Hi gang, sorry life's getting in the way of internet access at the moment - hope you understand.
Didn't do a liquid fast yesterday, just not feeling up to it TBH, to be brutally honest am feeling a bit down in the dumps (various small little reasons, nothing major) but it's OK I know how to deal with it and am sorting myself out Found a bar of Toblerone - once opened it lasted about 10 minutes - how stupid, I know, I know, but today's another day and all that. I SHALL be here on Thursday - if I make a promise to you all then I'll feel honour bound to stand by it Good luck everyone fasting/36ing - hope it goes well for you
I've just had a (very small) bowl of curry - it just smelled so good, and there wasn't enough left when my family had finished to make it worth saving.... Yeh I know, excuses excuses, but it's still easily under 500 (closer to 100 I'd say) so no harm done. It has of course switched my hunger on, but know ill be fine not eating before bedtime now.
Good to see most of the regulars here. Im having a week of 16/8 (its all Ballerinas fault!)in the hope the change might push me off a bit of a plateau.
Thinking of all those fasting
I'm hesitating because I know, the moment I have a nibble, the hunger switch will be thrown and I'll be elbow deep in the biscuit barrel before you can say Michael Mosley!
The trouble with maintenance - I'm doing 6:1, ATM - is that once you've done your day's fast, there are 6 NFDs stretching ahead - I'll just have to be very careful.
Still quite proud that I managed to do it. Think todays eating hasn't been helped by tiredness / looking after 2 extra kiddies, so I will have another attempt and just try and stay in a better frame of mind for it. It's made me more determined to plan better for my fast day meals on days I do eat something.
Oh and I weighed in at 10st 12.6 this morning - couple of lb lower than my lowest weight on 5:2 so far. I don't expect to maintain that after today, but it was nice to see on the scales & I'm pretty sure I can get back there
I ate badly yesterday after my Monday fast - partly because I was out all day, and choices were limited. I even had a snack before I went to bed, which I almost never do. Doing much better today, eating low carb, and fresh stuff, which hopefully will set me up well for fasting tomorrow.
