I was wondering where they are too - I haven't seen Redhead in ages now.

Lovely to have a pergola in your garden, and green lime and coconut cordial sounds delicious after all that exercise!
Finished my fast with a milky cup of tea this morning! Done! Not quite 36hrs, but only one off! Was also wondering about redhead yesterday, it's been a while. Suchard I think posted on my thread yesterday, maybe she's regular 5:2 now? Haven't read that thread. Right, off to work. See you all Wednesday

Hi gang, sorry life's getting in the way of internet access at the moment - hope you understand.

Didn't do a liquid fast yesterday, just not feeling up to it TBH, to be brutally honest am feeling a bit down in the dumps (various small little reasons, nothing major) but it's OK I know how to deal with it and am sorting myself out :smile: Found a bar of Toblerone - once opened it lasted about 10 minutes - how stupid, I know, I know, but today's another day and all that. I SHALL be here on Thursday - if I make a promise to you all then I'll feel honour bound to stand by it :heart: Good luck everyone fasting/36ing - hope it goes well for you :clover:
Hope you enjoyed your Toblerone, sometimes it's the best thing for the moment.

I've just had a (very small) bowl of curry - it just smelled so good, and there wasn't enough left when my family had finished to make it worth saving.... Yeh I know, excuses excuses, but it's still easily under 500 (closer to 100 I'd say) so no harm done. It has of course switched my hunger on, but know ill be fine not eating before bedtime now.

Hi all
Good to see most of the regulars here. Im having a week of 16/8 (its all Ballerinas fault!)in the hope the change might push me off a bit of a plateau.

Thinking of all those fasting
In for Tuesday!! Had a bit of a junk food weekend/Monday so a bit scared to get on the scales tomorrow! Hoping that 4:3 last week and liquid fasts have over ridden the weekend. Another liquid fast planned for Thursday.
40 hours plus into a low-cal fast. Just 300 cals for dinner last night and I'm not in the slightest bit hungry - so I'm just wondering whether to wait for lunch to break my fast.

I'm hesitating because I know, the moment I have a nibble, the hunger switch will be thrown and I'll be elbow deep in the biscuit barrel before you can say Michael Mosley! :grin:

The trouble with maintenance - I'm doing 6:1, ATM - is that once you've done your day's fast, there are 6 NFDs stretching ahead - I'll just have to be very careful. :confused:
Well, I made it till this morning before eating. However I have been so hungry today and have eaten really badly - literally elbow deep in the biscuit barrel (thanks for the description breadandwine).

Still quite proud that I managed to do it. Think todays eating hasn't been helped by tiredness / looking after 2 extra kiddies, so I will have another attempt and just try and stay in a better frame of mind for it. It's made me more determined to plan better for my fast day meals on days I do eat something.

Oh and I weighed in at 10st 12.6 this morning - couple of lb lower than my lowest weight on 5:2 so far. I don't expect to maintain that after today, but it was nice to see on the scales & I'm pretty sure I can get back there :)
Well done ema, when I first switched to liquid fasts I also overindulged the next day, it calmed down again though and now if I binge I throw an extra half fast in during the week to balance it out. Seeing a new personal best on the scale is something I find very encouraging too and I know once I've seen it once ill see it again and I'm sure you will too! Suchard, good to see your new photo, what a difference! Sorry to hear you're a bit overloaded, hope things improve soon :0)
OK, change of plan... to make up for the Toblerone mishap on Monday (ooops)... I'm doing a 36er today and may try for Friday too .... but I'm feelng a bit weak willed at the moment, so am likely to come back later today for a stern talking to from you all :bugeyes:

I ate badly yesterday after my Monday fast - partly because I was out all day, and choices were limited. I even had a snack before I went to bed, which I almost never do. Doing much better today, eating low carb, and fresh stuff, which hopefully will set me up well for fasting tomorrow.
Fasting today, have had a weird one! My daughter had a crusty eye this morning (conjunctivitis), decided to not send her to school so she came to work with me. Still managed to fast ok, but between taking lessons and keeping an eye on her I'm shattered! Yesterday was a stuff your face day so glad to get a fast in and possibly will do a half fast on Friday! Stopping at marks and Spencer's yesterday was a bad, bad idea! Too much yumminess under one roof!
Wohoo, managed the day on liquids only - though stomach complaining quite loudly at the moment .... off to the land of nod to read for a while now - am sure I'll make it through until lunchtime tomorrow - so that'll be well over the 36hrs..... and not a Toblerone bar in sight - excellent. Back here again Friday - see some of you here then I hope :smile:
Oh holy god.back from hols and put up 5lbs.nack up to 8st 12lbs.devestated.tried to fast today and yesterday and while I made it through the day, once I got home-I was like a maniac.i had beer and everything.my jet lag is making me crave stuff.im hoping to try again tomoro-I'd love some support though as not fitting into any clothes and at 5foo, that weight isn't great.so I'm going to try liquid fast of water, bovril and protein shake tomoro til Friday morning.anyone got any hints to get me back on track when I'm so sleep deprived. Feel very depressed
