Greetings 5:2 forum. Another Wednesday and another fast day for me. Second for the week and a the first week back after a rocky 6:1 week where I packed on 1kg :)

Going to stick to it hard this week to make up for last weeks hiccup. Up until last week, I had averaged a loss of a kilogram a week. I hope to keep that up as there is a target to meet :)
Missed the timing on last week's fasts and indulged in an Indian and wine with friends Friday night and a Chinese with hubby Sat night. Bit like buses, no takeaways for ages then two in one week. Gained a pound but enjoyed doing it, so back to being good :) x
Hmm...... We must be odd. We will usually go out at least once per week on the weekend. Last week was just off because I had more time off and preferred not to fast on my days off. Although, we did indulge more and went out about. 3 or 4 times not including coffee & cake :)
This is number 2 this week for me too.

Monday went swimmingly and yesterday (a non-fast day) went very well as well (yummy but healthy food and didn't go overboard).

Today, woke up hungry. Will nonetheless skip breakfast and hold out for lunch - fish, tomato and spinach curry (on Recipe section of this forum). 200 calories.

Will have my cod with cream tomato sauce (recipe also on this forum) with steamed vegetables (242 calories) and a bowl of weight watchers cabbage soup (44 calories) tonight.

So basically fish and veg in different forms today. That's the plan!!

Hope it won't be too tough.

Morning all! I'm in as usual on a Wednesday (and after I ate TWO M&S desserts yesterday :oops: , I really need today! )

I'm back to back fasting this week as was away for long weekend last weekend with attendant food and booze and am away tomorrow until Sunday so yesterday and today are the only options for fast days. Yesterday was actually a pleasure to give my system a rest from the enjoyable excesses - I think today might be more difficult. Haven't weighed myself after the weekend as don't want to de-motivate myself - my relationship with weighing scales is fragile to say the least! Great thing is I feel in control and as if I've finally cracked this weight thing! Good luck all fasting today - I'm off to have mixed berries and yoghurt!

I'm on day 2 this week as well, might even throw in tomorrow as well, rather oddly I do find fast days easy :confused:
I'm in today. first of the week after a very long weekend of fine food (we ate out) and drink. Fingers crossed for the Friday weigh in.
I'm in today too - found it hard when work had a basket of freshly baked bread sitting on the table in front of me - but I was good and didn't give in to temptation. Stomach is rumbling now, so off to have some lovely soup for dinner :)

The menu you have planned for today sounds absolutely delicious. My plan is to eat nothing, because I tried a liquid fast Monday and liked it very much. Now of course I'm curious and want to see if I can do it again with only one feed day in between.

I do have some food in as a safe-guard, if I decide to drop the fast, so that I won't be tempted to eat junk.
I'm in today, 2nd fast of the week and also woke up hungry - what is it with Wednesdays? I've been in an annoying plateau for three weeks and haven't lost any weight but at least I've maintained. Been struggling but really hoping I can lose a pound this week. When I first started 5:2 the weight fell off every week and I could pretty much eat whatever I wanted on my 'feast days' but that's no longer the case, think I've been overdoing the feasts! Still, have lost 8 pounds since I started, so just hanging on to that. Can't wait for my porridge and blueberries tomorrow morning! x
i'm in as well, second fast day of this week and the scale showed that the 1,5 kg i gained over the weekend away was almost gone, so i will make it a 4:3 week and hopefully be back on track by the end of the week then ;-)
Hi All, I'm on board today and the great news is so is my Mum! It's her first fast ever and she sent me a picture of her lunch, hee hee, ryvita and laughing cow cheese with an apple- all packed in a cute little plastic bag, bless her!!! I seem to have stalled a bit lately but I lost quite a bit the first few weeks and it's still new to me really (4th week this week) so maybe it's the plateau that we all speak of? Good luck to all of us fasters today!
