Fasting Today Tuesday 16 July

I am doing it, despite being in Taipei with family. Needs must - given I have been eating and drinking like there was no tomorrow for past few days. It is a fairly busy day which should help. Get kids ready for their Chinese summer camp classes but hit gym while family is at generous and all included hotel buffet spread. Then I will be at Chinese lesson from 11 to 1.30 with only water bottle with orange slices and an apple in case of emergencies. I then have a work call ("annual leave" is a loose term in my company). If I can't make it to dinner I will buy a few salad vegetables for late lunch and then a salad with grilled fish at American Club tonight while kids have swim lessons. That's the plan but bit hungover so I don't think it's going to be easy.
I'm in today too- it's either going to be really easy or horrendous. I'm nursing a pre-migraine and can't quite decide if I should go and lie in a quiet dark cool room or struggle on. YUGH! I'm really having trouble adjusting to the heat again.
SOunds as though you have an interesting day TiareMaori. Taipei sounds intriguing...
I am in today. I am looking forward to a day of will power and enjoying the benefits tomorrow.

Lots of water. Eating a huge salad with some chicken for dinner. I am going to clean house and go through school supplies to keep busy. Good luck everyone.
I'm in too. I'm sipping fruit tea and getting ready to go for a run before it gets too hot.
I've only got a pound to go before I hit my target weight so I want to have a good week.
Good luck everyone :clover:
Me too. Good luck everyone & fingers crossed for you sian xx
Count me in too - tried yesterday but disgraced myself with a glut of strawberries, best crop ever this year and delicious, and fatally a large pot of real Cornish clotted cream (the sort with a thick crust). Determined to do better today.
Hi everybody

still a newbie on here so please forgive me if posting on wrong thread!
I started yesterday Monday, it actually went easier than I thought, the hardest bit was the hunger pangs and seeing food everywhere lol!

Had a small pancake on its own and black coffee for breakfast, lunch I had one of them quick noodle thingy, low cal, I think about 170, 2 fruits (nectarines) as snacks, water all day and finally for dinner 4 ryvitas with low fat cheese and very low cal ham, it all came to just a little over 500 cal... I kept drinking water all evening though, but am so glad I did it! I feel ok this morning, not sure which day I should fast for my second one, what do you guys do, 2 together or days apart? does it make a difference? sorry for all the questions and thanks for reading! good luck to all, well done too!
Welcome Angie!
Glad to hear your fast day went well yesterday. Most of us who have been doing it a while graduate to having just one meal in the evening, it seems to help not to trigger the appetite during the day. A few people do consecutive days, I have tried that but found it difficult. most popular option is Monday and Friday, but this wol is so versatile, just tweak it and do whatever days suit and that you find easiest. As for being on the wrong thread, it's not wrong per se, just more usual to post on this thread on your actual fasting day! Good luck :clover:
I'm fasting today after abandoning ship yesterday. Feel more positive about it today and already thinking about what day to do the next. Large chicken salad for tea later :)
I'm fasting today too and it's my first fast day ever! :)
Hi everybody!
I'm in, fasting today. And it's the first fasting day since May! I've completely fallen off the wagon, but luckily only gained 200 grams.
So: Restart! And this time I'm not gonna quit! :like:
Fasting again today. Fasted until dinner yesterday and had a small dinner of cold buckwheat noodles and broccoli but followed it with ice cream and went out for drinks and had a couple of of g&ts so better luck today!

Today might be hard though as I don't think I ate anywhere near maintenance calories yesterday and very little protein, so I'll see how I go.

Weight is up this morning though which I attribute to water retention from salty noodle broth. Was thinking, probably good to make sure to have salt on fasting days when the weather is so hot?
Hi again

thank you so much Dhana for reply! :victory: wasn't sure how to reply directly to your post though grrrr

I think I will take your suggestion and do fast day number 2 on Friday, I usually work Thursday till sunday, and its easier for me to do at work than home where there are tooooo many temptations hehe!!
