Hey,

Fasting today too. It's actually my second fast day, feeling a bit hungry but nothing a glass of water or a cup of tea won't fix !
I have to say that I'm never fasting again on a Friday... I've had to say no to some friends who invited me for a drink and then dinner and I have to admit that I am regretting it... But I won't cave, tonight it's pilates, a fat free yoghurt and a good night sleep! But last time I say no. From now on Mondays and Wednesdays will be fasting days !

Hi, yes I am on a low cal day today. Going ok so far but it has been a fairly stress free day. :-)
Felt starving on the school run but better since I got back and had a cup of veg stock.

Oddly my tinnitus is always really loud when I'm driving...I wonder if there's something about being in the car that makes me have a heightened sensitivity to the internal goings on in my body?!
Nothing so far today. I like to store my 600 up for the evening!. Had a strange 'feast' day yesterday though, normally I would say I eat no more than usual following fasting. However,yesterday had a real craving for sugary stuff, chocolate, biscuits( I'm male so no....not pregnant!!). But hey, thats the beauty of doing this diet, no guilt after 2 chunky kitcats and some chocolate coated flapjack!! (have you tried the new mint kitcats ;-) ?)
I survived the shopping not a crumb has passed my lips all day. Yay!!
Oh HUSH Trevmum......I am starving!!..off to have broccoli with a poached ogg on top..so excited..roll on tomorrow..bed soon!!!!!!

Cheap chocolate at work has worked its magic on me, sadly. I haven't eaten much, though, and I'm still on target to come in at under 600kcal. I really need to start planning fasting days better.
Just had my only food today, poached haddock and stir fry, handful of red grapes. Was beginning to feel quite cold so this should warm me up.

I'm fasting today. Haven't had anything yet, just waiting for the kids to go to bed ( late night = lay in tomorrow!) am looking forward to dinner now. Ww soup and then chicken salad followed by a ww yoghurt. Hmmm hurry up girls off you go! Roll on tomorrow!
:evil: OK I really HATED today.......my home made soup (leek potato, sweet potato and butternut squash with no stock cube!!) didn't fill me up at all and I have been starving....this has been my 8th fast so that is the end of week 4. This evening I have had steamed brocolli with 8 fl.ounces of white sauce with one teaspoon of cheese in it and 1 ryvita biscuit (sell by date 2010!!!) I am really grumpy and hate the world..rock on tomorrow...but does this mean that at last I am really going to see some results? Interesting huh? am even shouting at everybody in the soaps on tv !!! However, I am secretly excited that when I wake up tomorrow I will be so think nobody will recognise me!! haha!
I'd get some Marigold Bouillon for the soup, not many cals and makes a nice soup with veggies.
Hi Tarty, so sorry you've had a rotten day. Can I urge you to try just one meal with no or very few carbs on your fast day? I think your soup did more harm than good for your hunger levels.

Almost everyone who has tried saving all their calories until dinner has preferred it to spreading their calories out. If you eat a small amount (like your soup) you don't have enough to fill your stomach and the first part of your small intestine, which is how much you have to eat before you stop feeling hungry after fasting. If you fast all day you don't get any hungrier but if you eat a small bit you will be hungrier. If you save all your cals you can have an almost normal dinner and not feel hungry after it. Today, for example, I had nothing until 8 pm (24 hour fast) when I had a turkey in red wine casserole and one small potato for 496 cals. The rest of the family had the same but more potatoes.

Really...give it a try!
You are so right Caroline..My fast days before have always been to eat later than I did yesterday and I found it so much easier than yesterday when I had a small lunch at 1pm..Thank you so much you are a fantastic help to us all!!!
