Morning all, I'm posting my loss early as I'm very pleased with it after a fairly tough fast yesterday 1.3 kg and 0.9% fat gone!

Didn't feel too happy with my eating, especially as I can have a drink now but did my exercises and stuck to fast days so must be doing something right! I now have 700g to go to reach my original target so would like to amend my target to a stretch of 81.2 kg which would bring my loss this year to 2.5 st (about 2 of that since September on 5 2)

Hi

No 37 here

I won't weigh myself until Thursday but as I have fallen off the bandwagon it'll be a gain. It is sooo cold here that I can't face a fast. Normally I wake up on Mondays and can't wait to fast, the body being ready for it and it's easy. This week I woke up hungry and cold and all I wanted all day was warm food, warm drinks. The cold has aggravated the pain in my joints so at present I am depressing company. At this point I might just take a week out to sort out my head and then start again on Monday coming. We'll see how I am in the morning.

I love reading about everyones experiences, so please keep the updates going.
Hi, no 17 here at the end of week 5
Weight: on 02/11/14, 123 lbs, no change, 1 lb over target
Wheat free: Yes, grain free yes. Aberration of the week: Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Madagascar vanilla cream. Good job I'm not officially on a no sugar challenge, eh? Still, tut tut, and next time get extra thick double cream and ratch around the back of the larder for the vanilla essence from years gone by.
Hi challenger no 9 checking in, huge apologies for the long delay since I last checked in. The short explanation is that life got complicated. Things are still very stressful but I am at least more in control. The happy upshot is that I weighed myself today for the first time since my last check in and I am now 75kg. Hope everyone is doing well. I will try to read all the posts but it may take quite a while! X
After much pain and effort I have finally reached my Xmas target, last Xmas that is!!!!!! 59.9kg this morning. Can I hover there for a while? Most happy with that!
Hello, number 95 checking in and am pleased to say I lost 1.5lbs since last week which, given last week's 1lb gain, is a net loss of 1/2lb. Last week I had TOTM and was eating quite a lot so I'm not surprised I gained but it is disheartening when progress is very slow. I don't think I will realistically reach my Christmas goal of another 6.5lbs loss but that's ok, this time around it's more about how I feel than a particular number as I know that it can be a bit arbitrary, so if by Christmas, 9.5 st is an uncomfortable-feeling high rather than a skinny-Minnie low, then I think I'll be in the right ballpark!
Similar to GreenMonster here.
Loss of approx. 1.5lbs this week which negates my small gain last week (TOTM) and taking me to a total weight loss of 2.2lbs in 4/5 weeks. Not exactly speedy but definitely the right direction. I won't meet my Xmas target either but I'm going to keep it as it is and just see how close I can get.
I've got a lot of nights out coming up as it's my DD and OH's birthdays next week and we're going away for a few days the week after too. Might do ADF as much as possible around these days to minimise damage!!

Progress for moi, member 1
Start weight : 72.8kg (Libra trend weight). actual was 72.9
Goal weight : 70.0kg (Libra trend weight).

PROGRESS
Oct 6 72.7 Libra (72.6 actual) - loss of 200g on Libra weight
Oct 14 72.5kg Libra (actual 72.3) - cumulative loss of 300g on Libra weight
Nov 6 72.0 Libra (actual 71.9) - cumulative loss of 800g since starting challenge

so 800g down.. 2kg to go. hopeful but not confident that i will completely reach the targeted 70kg. If i get to 71kg i will be pleased . Maybe my body is telling me something as i feel healthy at this weight .. just a bit of a tummy ..and sure theres a good kilo just there.

I have definitely solved my binge eating, always hungry, wanting to consume vast quantiies of sugar and carb sand am 100% mindful of everything that enters my mouth. And never really feel deprived of food. When I do eat something really naughty I totally enjoy it and really never go crazy and eat too much of it. I will indulge in a banquet/smorgasboard on occasion and enjoy that for what it is

That in itself is a major accomplishment and im feeling proud. Thank you to everyone here for the support and comraderie and online "friendship".

Well I didn't fast this week as struggling to cope with cold weather and my arthritis pain is through the roof. Anyway as expected a gain but have to say that I am quite shocked at how much I put on.

weight 115.9kg
waist 121cm

My waist keeps going down but weight is another matter, although I am hoping that this isn't a true weight gain i.e. that it's more to do with fluids, lack of sleep and painkillers as opposed to me having over indulged that much. I have been good on the whole, small meals, little sugar and so on just not actually fasting as I was always taking painkillers and I wouldn't take those on empty stomach.

@Alexandra - if your waist is shrinking then it reads like your visceral fat is decreasing, and that is A Good Thing. As for the scale weight, pshaw. I'd think that you're spot on about it being related to lack of sleep etc. and I've been known to gain up to 6 lbs in <36hrs with some pain medications (electrolyte and fluid shifts).

What do you take with your pain medications? A volume of food to 'line your stomach' like some broth and vegetables?
Yes, this was last Xmas's target and also this year's which shows how hard it's been to get there. I shall
concentrate on staying around this mark for a while now.
Mightily relieved I can tell you!

Painkiller: 30mg Amitriptiline (at night) 2x15/500 cocodamol up to 8 daily, 12h Voltarol cream, Ibuprofen and wrist strap and elbow strap. At present it's in my upper body worst, i.e. wrists, fingers, elbows and shoulders.

Food/Drinks: Depends on the time of day, early morning maybe a yoghurt or fruit and a small cup of milk to line the stomach, lunch time either sandwich (german rye bread) or salad, dinner small portion of what I cooked for the family. Yesterday bolognese with just 1 slice of garlic bread. Tea/Coffee limited to 1 in morning, 1 at lunch. sometimes when very cold 1 in the afternoon or a hot chocolate at night.

I used to be on Meloxicam but my feet/ancles kept swelling up badly so had to come off it. I am due to see the specialist on Monday and hopefully he'll have some ideas on better control as I am out of my wits. I even wake during the night if I move wrong or the painkillers have stopped working. Those medications listed above are painkillers only, I am also on DMARD and asthma medication.

This has been going on for the last few weeks now, some days are better than others but I am just going through a very bad patch.
