Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Fasting for treenit weeks
20 Jun 2017, 12:09
I am new in this Forum and find it a little confusing where to write. I have been 5:2 fasting for 3 weeks. The first week I fasted 6 days in a row. I was easy, no hunger after 2 days. After that 2 FD a week. FD are getting easier, but I feel hungry some time of the day. I have not weighed myself but I think I need to lose 10 kg.

Hi and welcome! You've posted in the perfect place, don't worry :)

Weighing yourself is one way to track your progress, but another good way is to measure yourself and see how much size you lose.

It's great to hear that your fast days are getting easier - after a few weeks they usually do. I hope you consulted your doctor before you embarked on your initial fast, we don't advocate such long fasts here (see the forum rules: important.php) as they can be dangerous for some people. You're very welcome however to discuss intermittent fasting such as 5:2, 4:3, ADF and 16:8.
