Hi all!

I'm not sure if I'm eating the correct foods on a fast day or at the correct time - a typical fast day includes:

Breakfast- small satsuma & small apple OR 100 cal breakfast bar
Lunch - 250 cal soup & 100 cal yoghurt
Evening: 40cal hot chocolate
Drinks: 2 x decaf tea with milk

I might be going slightly over my 500 allocation with the milk in my tea but I'm not going to beat myself up about it as SURELY the extra 20 calories won't make any difference?!

I find I need the hot chocolate in an evening (usually around 8pm) to take the edge off my hunger pangs and it gives me something to look forward when I get in from the office but do I need to give myself a longer fasting time? After a fast day I eat breakfast at around 10am so have a 14hour fast.

I've been doing it for two weeks and so far haven't lost anything - I only have 7lbs to lose so not sure if it'll be harder to shift?

Advice on what I need to do would be greatly appreciated!
As long as you are keeping to around 500 that's fine. I'm over some days, under on others. However, remember that this is based on you being an average woman. If you burn fewer than 2000 calories on a normal day you should lower your fast day cals. If you only have 7 lb to lose it will take longer.

If you are getting hungry during your fast days you could consider swapping the breakfast bar for something higher protein like an egg, if not, no worries. It's all about experimenting to see what works best for you really.
That's great - thanks Caroline. I'm not sure how many calories I eat on non-fast days so will calculate on Thursday & Friday and take an average. Hopefully I'm around 2000 calories as don't think I could eat less than 500 calories on the fasting days!
Eating lots of veggies helps with filling you up for not many calories...
