Newbie - Hello
14 Feb 2013, 17:47
Hello I'm from the states and recently just discovered this 5:2 diet plan on the My Fitness pal community forums. I want to lose some weight and didn't feel like going on any diet plans or buying anything so when I saw this it seemed really good. After watching Dr Mosley video (Eat, Fast, Live Longer). I definitely wanted to give this a try.. I'm a male and so yesterday I did my fasting day (600 calories) and had a small meal at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. I felt good yesterday and woke up today feeling ok.. Today is my 'feast' day and hopefully won't over do it.. I'm debating if I should do my next Fast Day tomorrow or Monday.. Any advice?

Hi! I'm also from the states, Massachusetts actually. I don't think there are many of us on this forum. LOL.

This is my 2nd week, my 4th fasting day. Hungry today. I wait to eat until dinner time.

You can do your next fast day whenever is convenient for you. I do mine Tuesdays and Thursdays so I can relax and enjoy on the weekends.

Best of luck!

Hello Dxtra30 & welcome to the forum!
There's loads of information and support available on here, as I'm sure you've found. Best advice is, see what works best for you regarding how you split your 600 cals through the day, everybody's different. Only other thing I would say is drink plenty and whenever you're really craving something, remember, you can eat it tomorrow! :D
Re your next fast day, do it tomorrow if you're committed to doing it but leave it until Monday if not. Otherwise it might be a struggle if you're still undecided at lunchtime. I do 3 fast days a week ( only on my 4th week though so that might change!) so I fast Mon,Wed, Fri and then relax about it all till the following Monday.

Good luck!
