The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi

my name is Jan and I have tried every diet known to man and beast, usually starting Monday breakfast and finishing Monday teatime, Tuesday morning  ...then get into negative self talk and hating myself! :( Need something to fit into a very busy life  ...and hope this will fit the bill. Hope to gain much from reading others experiences, except of course weight! :D

Hi Jan and welcome! :)
Hi Jan

One of the great things about this way of eating is that it is so very flexible!

I won't lie to you...the first couple of fasts can be tough going for some people...your body may resist having to turn to fat stores for energy. But it does get better very quickly.

Please do read the FAQ (link below) and check out the thread on top tips. You should then be set up for your first fast.

And remember you only have to "diet" for two days a week!
