Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Either you have a fast day with 500 calories or you don't.
Yes you'll still lose weight but that is a calorie reduced diet not fasting which equals zero health benefits.

Plus there is some evidence that constant calorie restriction in this way results in higher levels of the hunger hormones making you so hungry that you are likely to give up and then when you decide to stop calorie restricting you will massively overeat. That's why all the other diets fail in the long run.
It's OH b'day and he wanted to go out to brunch so no early brekkie, wasn't really hungry even though it had been a fast day yesterday.
