If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Basically, because of when I start my fast (6pm) its usually straight after dinner, so I don't feel hungry for the rest of the night, and then when I wake up I usually only have a few fruity nibbles to keep me going until 6pm, my point is that I'm not able to use up all my calories purely because I really don't need them!
Is this bad? Should I make myself eat up to 500 cal anyway?
No, no, no! Most people are having 600 cals over a 36 hour period (i.e. From dinner on day 1 to breakfast on day 3)! Your dinner on day 2 is included in your 600 cal allowance. If you have 600 between waking and dinner and then have dinner you'll hardly lose any weight at all! If that's what you're after, that's fine and carry on as you are. The less you can eat between 6 pm and 6 pm the greater the health benefits (we think).
At the moment I'm not having anywhere near my 500 cal fast day allowance. I usually have a bowl of homemade veg soup which I've calculated to be 90 cals and a bowl of salad (leaves, cucumber, celery, radishes, 5 cherry tomatoes, grated carrot and maybe a slice of wafer thin lean ham or a tiny amount of cooked chicken) which I estimate to be 150cals maybe. I may also have an options hot chocolate at 40 cals. So I average less than 300 cals.
I presume that any less that goes in means more weight to come off :D
