The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Only on my 2nd week and so far it seems to be doing well.. Hopefully the weight stays off.. Just wondering how long have you been doing the 5:2 diet?? If you have been doing it for a long time is weight still coming off? Or just doing it for health reasons?
If my weight comes off and I get to my goal and I feel healthy I may want to continue all year long but just making sure that's ok to do.
Please any comments or thoughts.. Thanks!

As my stats to the left show, I've been fasting twice a week since the start of November. Initial weight loss was 1kg per week. It has slowed a bit, perhaps 0.5 kg/week now, but still going down!
