If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi -Just found the forum/ I am a 70 year old type II diabetic and have been using the 5/2 IF since seeing Michael Mosley's Horizon programme and so far from 300 pounds weight have lost 63 pounds, my blood pressure has gone from 175/70 to 130/63 and my insulin dose has reduced by a third. The really great thing is that I find fasting days(600 cals) relatively easy and back to eating what I like the rest of the week. Amazing!

That's brilliant Mike, well done. Glad to have you on board as we need a good pool of experienced fasters to support the newbies!
