Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Have decided that if I've lost weight this week I'll know this WOE is working and I can stop being a slave to the whims of my scales! Will use the fit of my clothes as a guide instead.
That sounds like a great idea.
I have hidden mine in the bottom of my very messy wardrobe as I found I was jumping on them too often to be healthy.
I'm going to weigh in monthly now. I intend to hide them again after the forum weigh in day on the 2nd of March.
Needless to say tomorrow is a fast day this week prior to the weigh in.
Good luck.
Good luck with that !!, I keep telling myself ' just weigh yourself once a month' but if I get a hint of weight loss Im straight on them. very bad habit I know
I ditched my scales ages ago as I was obsessed with weighing myself most mornings. Now I have to call my neighbour to arrange to use her Rosemary Conley scales. She says I can come weigh myself any time and don't have to ask her. I like to ask her permission to go over early in the morning after her family have left home. Then it's off to her bathroom, clothes off and the dreaded weigh in (when I can hardly bear to look). The scales have my height and age already put into its memory so it tell me my body fat % but I don't know how accurate that is!!
Seems like a great idea to me. It can certainly be disheartening to the see the daily or even weekly fluctuations despite the losses.

I have the same strategy in mind, and hopefully I can stick through with it...perhaps gradually lol
I'm addicted and weigh daily. I cant wait to get out of bed and weigh after a fast day! Doesnt bother me if they dont go down but Im delighted when they do!

Me too, I didn't lost any weight after fasting yesterday, but I don't care, I just find it interesting and the trend is downwards...
Good for you Kebyss :-)
I weigh myself weekly and can't seem to get out of the habit. I'm slowly stopping calorie counting though and I think once I have a normal range BMI i'll stop weighing myself weekly and go to monthly.
The break ups been hard! But they are now hidden away and we will only get back together if my belt says so!!
