Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
(I may have to do 4:3 to counter act!!)
I started on jan 13, and now I don't have the problem.
My habit of snacking has gone, and my desire for good healthy foods has increased.
As many have said I've become much more aware of the calorific value of all the foods I previously thought were harmless and healthy....most of them my favourite things i.e carbohydrates.
I am still enjoying lots of goodies on non fast days. Maybe just a bit fewer of them.
I'm quite sure you will settle down. There has been a lot of discussion on this subject, and most have found that this tends to happen in the beginning and become less as time goes on.
Good luck.
Have not had the bingeing experience but this may be because I had not been on a diet for several years so was not feeling deprived, hence on feed days I was not feeling the need to eat formerly forbidden foods (I had been eating them all along...which is why I was obese).
I have, however, found my desire for sweet things has reduced. So, give it time and I think your eating patterns will change.
I feel that if you relax about it and listen to your body things will improve without you having to force it. You know that you can have those things if you want, but you ask yourself do you REALLY want them? 9 times out of 10 it's no you don't really want it, it's just there but that 1 in 10 when you really, really want it? That's when you have it, without guilt
Had cake and Indian meal out today though!
