Ok, so I was going to start this next week and plan to fast mon and Thursdays but was really keen to start after a week abroad all inclusive so decided to have my first day back after holiday and do a fast day.. Here is what I have had..

Breakfast (was really late 11am - would normally be 7:30) - 140kcal
- 2 x hard boiled eggs

Dinner - 19:30 (just about to have it) - 349 kcal
- 250g of roasted chicken breast (skinless)
- 100g of frozen baby carrots
- 100g of frozen broccoli
- 15g of Heinz extra light salad cream

1 x black caf coffee
1 x green tea
Water

I did also have a white coffee before I decided to fast today which was about 50ml of semi skimmed milk - 25 kcal

So I am still at about 525 of my 600 allowance.

My question is what should I do with the remaining 75 kcal?
Should I have some strawberries maybe in an hour as a desert?
Or should I have used them on a little extra on the main?

Does it matter if I do eat in 1 hours time to consume remaining calories as this kind of shortens my next fast period down from 12 hours to 11 or 10 depending on when I have them?

Also one more question. I used to drink a lot of squash (sugar free). Is this still ok on this diet or does the asparmartee play havoc with my cravings etc?

Thanks
Mark
I should save the 75 cals for later if you feel very hungry and use them for a protein rich snack before bed to help you sleep. Dr M often has a small glass of milk. But if you don't need them I'd just consider the lower intake to be a bonus. The idea is to have up to 600(m)/500(f) rather than use all the allowance.

I doubt that knocking an hour off the next fast period would make much difference!
I might have some grapes or strawberries just to tie me over till bed.

Are grapes or strawberries better?

Surely the high in carbs ones are worst?
