Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Don't worry about what the scales say, you most probably have gained water not fat. It's normal...the best thing to do is to measure your waist as well as take your weight. Often your waist will decrease even if the scales don't show a decrease.
Also please read the thread on weight gain in the frequently asked questions board which explains in detail why the scales lie to you!
You're doing fine and I'll bet that if you give it a month you'll see a big decrease!
Try jotting down your measurements (chest, waist, hips, upper arm, upper thigh - they're the ones I do) and keeping track of that as well as your weight. You might find that you are losing inches even though you are not losing much weight. If you lost some and then gained some, I would keep at it, I did the same over the first few weeks, lost 3, put 2 (I think...) back on, but it's off again now.
Don't worry!
