If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
It's great that 5:2 is working for you and as you say the important thing is that this way of eating is sustainable in the long term - the weight may not be coming off as quickly as you like, but what other diet allows you to eat as normal 5 days a week and still watch the scales go down?
How do you do your fasts? Do you split your calories into several meals? Do you do the '1 sleep' or '2 sleeps' version? Just wondering if there's anything we could suggest to help give your loss a bit of a boost as with quite a lot to lose you may be able to shift some of it a bit quicker by changing the way you do your fasts.
I'm new to this forum too...and to 5:2, this is only my third fast. I've lost 4lb this week, which is really great, but I don't think it will continue like that, I only ever shed weight really slowly. I have about the same amount to lose as you. Congrats on what you've managed so far! I hope I can have lost as much weight as you in 9 week's time!
