Hi all

Into my second week of 5:2 dieting and getting on ok so far. Started mainly for health reasons rather than weight loss, much like Michael, although. Few pounds off wouldn't go wrong.Work away a lot so hotel meals and corporate dinners don't help but I think its something I'll be able to stick with as I like the flexibility to work round my schedule.

I weighed and measured myself before starting and planned not to check again until after a month on the plan. Is this a good idea or should I check more often to check progress?

Your opinion is appreciated.

Hi Sweettooth

Welcome to the forums!

Funnily enough the topic of how often to weigh is an ongoing debate here. I think the answer is monthly unless you can cope with at least occasional disappointment because weight fluctuates so much from day to day that this often hides any real losses.

Good luck with your 5:2 journey.

Thanks. I'll try to stick to the plan and check progress after a month on 5:2. Fasted yesterday and tonight enjoyed a half portion of Eton Mess and no guilt. Happy days!
